I seem to recall someone posting about this several years ago but I've scanned the whole SAC forum and didn't see the old thread:
Anyway, I suppose that this is an update that has finally solved the mystery:

| I wish they would comment on how accurate it is. It looks pretty cool, and you can see that it accounts for the occasional "backward motion" of Venus, which must have been a bitch to make happen just with gears. Even if it is only an approximation, it's a marvel of engineering, that probably represents a prior art to several Swiss clock-making patents. |

I'd like to announce the upcoming iNtikythera! It not only plots the course of celestial bodies far into the future, it even lets you project the expansion of the human race to colonies all throughout the galaxy. And it will do it all without the need for supernova support or multiple timelines.
