Hi folks. Just so you know: I'm going under the knife Tuesday morning. (7:30AM, PDT.) They are removing my gallbladder, due to my having active gallstones. If all goes well, I'll be back at home the same day.

I'll post an update when it's all over. (And if a few days pass after the surgery, and I still haven't posted an update, you can safely assume that I'm dead. Razz)

Best of luck! My wife has had that done. I assume you've had more than one gall stone attack, and I know how painful that can be. She said that, compared to that, the surgery was a breeze.

I've had one attack that I'd rate a 10, and some others that would be in the 5-6 range.

I'm lucky that we caught this early. We actually discovered the gallstones last year, before the pain even started. A group was offering wellness screenings where I work, and I decided to go for it. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

Thanks for the well-wishes, guys. Felicitous

Maybe they weren't gallstones at all. Maybe they were Greeks. I hope everything went well.

I went under the knife. I had my tonsils removed in 1961. Is it anything like that? Ether doesn't smell very good.

I hope everything came out all right. I've never experienced gall stones, but I can tell you that kidney stones are no fun at all.

I'm alive. The surgery went off without a hitch. No complications at all.

Now it's time to rest and recuperate. It'll be a while before I'm back at 100%.

If you have more than the average number of legs 1 , but you're missing a gallbladder, are you back to 100%?

1: Average number of legs for a human is less than two.
