I'm not USian, but if I had to say the Pledge, I'd use the 1950's version: "...One nation indivisible with liberty..."

This is fine by Chaz's code of conduct. If the principal had integrated ref's idea of excluding "under God" from the pledge (and maybe even replacing it with some other deity if they felt the need), then it would have approached perfection.
Aside from being a little creepy and reminiscent of Nazi Germany of course.
