Alive:
Chaz
raekuul
Undercover Monk
Sniklac16
Lifeinmomland
Jedo the Jedi
Dead:
Day 1 lynch: Sentran: Bernard, Mafia role-blocker
Night 1 killed: wordcross: Han Tzu, Townie Message Sender
Day 2 lynch: Ctorj: Nikolai Delphiki, EMT
Night 2 killed: MNOWAX: Dink Meeker, Paranoid Townie
The rules:
* Don't quote from your role message in the public forum, but you may in the night-time discussion forums if you like.
* Don't edit any posts!
* All discussion of the game must be in this forum, the designated night-time discussion forums, or PMs to me. Nothing outside those.
* Votes must be in bold, and have the form Vote: Chaz. Adding that you are unvoting (and from whom) is a convenience to me but not required.
* Roles will be assigned randomly. (Just to clarify, since a recent mod intentionally assigned roles to cause maximum mayhem. It was pretty funny, if a little annoying, but I won't be doing that.)
* Don't be more of a jerk than absolutely necessary.
* Don't take anything personally (outside the game, that is), if someone is being a jerk inside the game. It might be part of his role, after all.
* I may announce deadlines to get action going. These will be extended if it works.
* If I announce a "hard deadline" then it will not be extended.
* Day will end after a majority is reached, whether or not I have announced end of day. Discussion should stop there. Accidental post-night posts will be tolerated, but please make an effort. For convenience for others, if you believe you are hammering someone, then it would be nice to add "I believe this is the hammer" to your post.
* If day ends due to a deadline, it will not actually end until I announce it. Feel free to keep discussing and voting.
* At a deadline, whoever has the most votes will be lynched. If two tie, then whoever has had that number (or more) for longer will be lynched. However, it requires a minimum of 2 votes to lynch someone; if no one has more than one vote at the deadline, the result will be "no lynch."
* "No Lynch" is a valid vote. If that reaches a majority (or wins a tie-breaker as above) then there will be no lynch. Note that this is different from simply not voting, it must be an active vote.
For the record, these terms all mean the same thing: innocent, townie, member of town
And these all mean the same: guilty, evil, mafia, scum

I'm still watching, just biding my time this game. I'm still trying to find the acceptable medium for voting speed myself. In the last game, I had a lot of suspicion for my lynch speed (and claim, but I still maintain that there were valid reasons due to theme and my knowledge of the subject matter).
Also, I do not know the subject matter this game, so expect no claim requests from me. _________________ Sentran

There it is. I'm using UM's theory from last game (since it turned out to be right), and voting for the third person in a bandwagon.
Vote: Chaz
I really had no intention of going after Chaz this game, prior to his vote. _________________ Sentran

The first day in a mafia game is always hardest. There hasn't been anything going on, so there's nothing on which we might logically base our votes. Most of these votes are teasing more than anything.
Except maybe for sentran who is claiming that a vote for 3rd on a bandwagon is a tactic rather than completely random _________________ Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

Voting pace and posting pace are totally different. My comment was about the amount of posts. As far as discussion goes (which is eventually all we can base day one votes on), this day is sub-par. I just think we need to step it up.
Anyway, I thought the first bandwagon might generate some discussion, but then Chaz changed his vote. unvote vote: Sniklac I guess that goes to show you should never send a boy to do a man's job. _________________ Paragon Tally: 19 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

Not sure what this is about. Either he's calling Chaz a boy (I know he's still 12 at heart, but c'mon), or his role is one of the few characters who is not a child. I'm not sure if that makes him evil or not. In fact, I'm not certain how the mod has decided to set up the mafia. It could be the adults who are forcing the kids to fight their war, or it could be rivalry between the units.
I suppose there's some other explanation for that line. Perhaps he's calling snik a boy? That doesn't seem likely. He could be referring to a player's role, but it's difficult to believe he knows anything about another player's role unless he's scum.

Well, I had an idea. However it may be to outlandish to work. I suggest we set a small scene, such as Day 1 at Battle School, and make a comment that is NOT a quote from the book by your character, but is appropriates to your characters personality. It might give us something other than past animosity, silly names, or supposed theories to base our first vote on.
On the other hand it might be to role-play for some people. Just a thought
