Wait. What?

Ok. I admit my hammer of MNO was incorrect -- suspicious, even. But it's not as if I wasn't fighting the entire time to see one of UM or MNO lynched, and I made it clear that I didn't feel strongly which. Or are you claiming some other evidence?

And role-blocker? I assume because there was a vig (or possibly SK) kill last night, so you're assuming that whoever did it must have been role-blocked the previous night. That is a little bit of evidence that there is a role-blocker among the scum, I guess, but why do you think it is I? And why do you think that, if I were, I would be so stupid as not to block the same person again?

I have played this entire game calling it as I see it, pulling no punches. Note the contrast to how I played Harry Potter Mafia, in which I gave all this gentle analysis but carefully never rocked the boat. The only reason I didn't win that game was the overwhelming number of power roles amongst me (a night-kill immune cop, plus a two-kills-needed doc? Really?). If I were Mafia, don't you think I would have played this one pretty much the same way?

You have, on the other hand, just reminded me that you were a fast-rising third on my scumdar, and now I remember why. Since it is only 3 to lynch, I'm going to unvote: Mom before a scum gets in to hammer. I'm still suspicious of her, but you've risen enough to make me doubt myself. In any case, I never thought her alliance with UM to be anywhere near as tight as I thought MNO and Lucresia was.

Sentran, are you just trying to sniff out who is the vig? I think the events of last might make all the more reason for no one to role claim. We are still at a point where it helps the scum a lot more than it helps us.

Well, I'll claim to allay any suspicions. I'm Aja Killian, an Inventor.
Last night I created my investigation tool, and used it to investigate Zag, to confirm my suspicions. Zag came up as a Mafia Roleblocker.

I am regretting my vote on MNO, but I still feel he played a scummer looking game than UM.

Well crap! That means that Sentran is not the only scum, because he wouldn't make a lie like that if he were. He clearly has worked out that if he gets me lynched, then the scum can kill again tonight as the vig kills him. That will leave his partner and one other townie, a guaranteed win for the scum.

Well, folks, I can't personally refute his claim. I hope someone can. I know it's bogus, but I have no way to prove it. Would the real cop, or the real Aja Killian, please step forward? We're at lynch or lose, so you'll have to decide that it's worth it.

Hmmm. It might not be lynch or lose, if the remaining townie tomorrow is the vig, AND if the vig night-kill goes before the Mafia night-kill. Perhaps Sentran thinks I am the vig, so he thinks that this strategy will work, with a fallback plan of maybe them catching the vig with their night-kill tonight.

I can say, at least, that they will be down to the 50/50 shot, because I'm not the vig. So, even if you fall for Sentran's ploy, there is still a glimmer of hope for the town. But the better solution is not to fall for it.

Well, you've signed your death warrant, raekuul, since we have no doc left to protect you, but I appreciate it.

So Sentran would have us believe that there is both a cop and an inventor that can generate super-cop powers (that is, alignment AND role)? It sounds as if he knew that there was a mafia role-blocker -- maybe it is he.

You guys make up your minds whom to believe. His big mistake was claiming cop powers. I guess he was hoping that with a doc and a vig obviously in play, there would be no cop.

No, I was asking you to come forward to make it clear that Sentran's claim was bullshit. I assumed it would be obvious that there wouldn't be two people with cop powers. I thought it was obvious that you'd be targeted by the scum if you did come forward, but, with the info that you've cleared Jedo, we should be able to finish with a win.

I reread my previous note, and I don't quite understand why you think I was saying you shouldn't have come forward. I was looking for someone to refute Sentran's claim, and I appreciated that you did so, even though it meant painting a big target on your chest. That's the only point I was making.

You've put me at L-1, and we know that there's another scum out there. Please unvote while you think it over.

Unless the other scum is you, after all. That would have been a devious ... No. If it were you and Sentran, you would just have claimed you investigated me and found me guilty. Sorry for being suspicious.

It's alright.

However, I will not retract my vote because Sentran - if he is telling the truth - got the investigation that I did not. If he is not telling the truth, then yeah, I did hand the game over to the scum and/or third party.

Why is everyone assuming our extra killer is a vigilante? That highly skews things in the town's favor. It's the sort of stunt I would pull. Personally, I think it's a Serial Killer instead.

I claim that I had not only a one-shot cop power (investigation), but a one-shot doc power (protection) as well. The first night I assembled a device, and told Snik that no matter what it was, I'd use it on LIML. It turned out protection, and I had no better target, so I hoped she was town. I know think that she's town. I'm unsure on Raekuul, but I'm inclined to believe his claim as cop. If Zag, as a mafia roleblocker, blocked Rae, then mine would still show the truth. I've never read any of the Pendragon books, so I wouldn't know who to claim (or not to claim). Zag is guilty.

I'd like it noted for the record that he very carefully avoided my suspicions on day 2, which is why I investigated him night 2. When I confronted him, he never really defended himself, he just made sure to redirect attention away from himself. I'm not so easily swayed.

Well, that sure makes thing interesting. It certainly evokes a lot of questions. I'm inclined to believe Sentran because I don't think he would just make that up. The easy way to test it is to lynch Zag. I am only cautious because a mislynch might prove fatal. I'll wait for some more discussion first anyway. I don't think it will be valuable to end this day quickly. unvote

Quick thought: is it possible Sentran and Zag are both scum and trying a long con of sorts to draw out roles and make Sentran look townie? I'm just paranoid because rae just claimed and he's certainly a goner tonight. I don't think that a huge possibility, but I do want to consider options.

If we lynch Zag today and the game doesn't end, I will suspect Mom because I find it unfathomable for all the scum to be on the same wagon. Though maybe Sentran for the above possibility. Tomorrow could be a tough day.

Well, Mom, it looks as if it is up to you. Do you believe the lying Sentran, who claims a super-doc ability on top of a regular doc (in which case you should go ahead and hammer me to learn your mistake)? Or will you decide that I am making a more reasonable claim, that he is full of crapola? (You know, after all, what a tricksy hobbit he is. Enthusiastic Grin)

It looks like raekuul is leaning to believe Sentran, since he didn't unvote me, and it looks as if Jedo might also be leaning that way, but not quite as much. I don't have any more to say in my defense than I've already said. Obviously, it is clear to me that he is lying, but I don't have any other way to prove it. I thought it would be obvious that, if there is a real cop amongst us, Sentran must be lying. When raekuul claimed it, I figured we had the game won. Perhaps he can explain why he is still unconvinced.

In spite of everything, I still don't think raekuul is Sentran's scum buddy, though it has crossed my mind. He was just too strong on leading the charge against UM. I suppose it could have been distancing, but it doesn't quite feel like it. But look at Sentran's comments about UM -- scum distancing if I've ever seen it.

Anyway, that's all I've got. Mom, I think the next move is yours. Hammer me or join me voting for Sentran. Maybe the latter will convince either rae or Jedo to join us.

Enthusiastic Grin

I have decided to believe Sentran. VOTE ZAG

I continue to see what I feel are inconsistencies in Zag's posts. The most recent one being to start the day by calling me scum and voting me and then wind up unvoting me so he can appeal to me for a vote, when he realized which way the wind is blowing.

I find it interesting as well that Zag is a mighty anti-claim person, and Luc, who was pushing the idea of a mass claim for day 3 died before the day could begin.

Zag was also on both of the lynches.

Sentran's the only person that I do not actually know the alignment about. Normally, this would be enough circumstantial evidence to lynch him by, but my mind is screaming "DON'T RUSH THE LYNCH!"

The lynch of Zag was primarily based on circumstantial evidence, because I never got a result one way or the other regarding him. True, Sentran may have done this in order to get the heat off him, but if he really was the last scum... I have made no effort to hide the results of my investigations, so really the best way he could have won was to have killed me at night and rode on his laurels from the Zaglynch by convincing Jedo (a confirmed clear) that Momland was the last scum after all. Why our last killer decided to let me live is a mystery that will be answered for post-game.

I guess the long and short of it is that I've never actually had any hard evidence of who the scum are, everything's been circumstantial (if correct).

I'm at a bit of a loss myself. I ran out of powers on night 2. I didn't think there was that much heat on me, and Zag was looking guilty (to me) on day 2? If I am to believe Rae's claim, that means either Jedo or LIML are scum. I'm leaning towards Jedo, but I don't have a solid reason why.

Sentran, I investigated both of them. Unless you're suggesting that they're a Godfather or else are investigation-immune, in which case we're practically playing Day 1 with 4 living, you're the only suspect person here.

It takes three to lynch, right? You can't lynch without my assistance unless you lynch me. Normally I would not object to being lynched, since by all rights I should have been dead by now, but the fact remains that I am still alive. More to the point, this is our last day of voting unless, for some reason, our last killer chooses once again to not kill. Which would be very stupid since killing would guarantee a win after a mislynch today. I suppose that means that we're in LYLO. The only way I won't go for a Sentran Lynch is if you can convince me that we're dealing with a godfather, and not a SK who can only kill on alternate nights.

I can only offer that I lead the way on the only daytime scum lynch, and that I was 100% on with my call. I had the same thought earlier, that the Godfather is immune to investigation. Did you get anything aside from town/scum? If one of them came up as vanilla, and the other came up as a different role, I would suspect the vanilla role more.

LIML is a chaperone for my son's school field trip today, so she will not be able to post for several hours.

Damn, I was hoping that would shed some light on the situation. What are the possibilities of roles left to us?

Scum/SK/2 town
Scum/Vig/2 town
SK/3 town

Those are the only options I can think of at present. I know for a fact that I'm one of the townies, but I can't prove it beyond what I've already done. I'm inclined to believe your claims, Raekuul, and if I'm wrong, you've played a hell of a game and I applaud you for your guile. That leaves Jedo and LIML as Vig/Scum, SK/Scum, or SK/Town.

That had occurred to me as well, but I don't think it changes the breakdown of who is left. I believe the odds are in favor of either 3 Scum and a Vigilante to 2 Scum and a Serial Killer. Of course, I'm sort of guessing blindly here. I just feel that if we had an SK, we would have been more likely to see a second kill on night one. I also feel that Jedo is being uncharacteristically quiet during the time period when he says he posts. Jedo, anything to add?

Sentran, I don't think I'm looking at an already-investigated Godfather here. I say this because Snik screwed up and gave me more information than he should have when I got back the results of Momland's investigation. It had nothing to do with anyone's guilt or innocence; rather it was the fact that there was nothing left short of my dying that would keep me from getting a result.

Also, Snik: You really should just confine yourself to "Innocent", "Guilty", or "No Result" in the future. As I discovered with Death Eater Mafia, giving out too much information really helps the town.

Please be aware that the reason I'm not voting Sentran right now is because of two things. Number one, everything is circumstantial, and I don't want to convict him on that alone. I had backup with Zag, not so much here. Number two, I do not know in which direction I should take Snik's Snafu.

Shocked That is certainly a confusing play by whomever has the kill shot(s). WIFOM reasoning perhaps?

Anyway, I got a new job recently, so my posting times will be askew. I'm here though.

I also am leaning toward Sentran. That could be a good, hard-core bus. It occurs to me he could be the GF hoping for a clean result from rae and that's why he didn't make a kill. The trouble is, I haven't suspected any of you guys throughout the game. Well, Mom a little bit, but at this point, I can only suspect her if I disbelieve rae's claim. Plus, I can't suspect her as GF because process of elimination tells me she's the vig.

I'll go ahead and claim so that's out there. I'm Gunny Van Dyke, vanilla townie.

I thought I should say the main reason I suspect Sentran at all is his claim. Town has a cop, doc, vig, masons...and a one-shot cop/doc? That seems stacked, especially for a game that is likely to end after 2-3 nights.
