Now if I'm correct on this, I believe we should look at either Zag or RD as the remaining scum (if there is one). He states that RD went nowhere on night 2, which is obviously a lie. He also claims that Zag is confirmed town, which is possible but not confirmed. _________________ Sentran

It was 1:30am my time when I posted. Sorry for forgetting my name. Yes I am Peter Petrelli. I didn't know there were 2 of them. I don't know much about the show, sad to say, though I enjoyed Season 1.

|
Could you explain this? Specificially:
1. What does 'neighborized' mean?
2. What could be the downside of joining masons, once recruited? (Perhaps this is answered by #1.) |
Neighborized is when someone with that ability can make you and someone else/others neighbors giving you all the chance to talk at anytime during the day. Scum also have this ability. They can "neighborize" you, just like masons and talk to you at anytime. In this, they can get information from you to find out where to strike next. When I revealed this in my current Mafiascum game, everyone thought I was scum because they suspect the person who did it to me is also scum. Apparently, anyone can garnish this ability. Dealing with that issue current;y, you can see how suspicious I was when I was approached that night.
Lucresia: Going to your last post, let's play out your scenario for a second. Let's say I used my tracking ability to prove to you I am a tracker. (This is, in fact, true) However, with another scum out there, they would carry out the kill, not me. I doubt a scum would have the ability to track AND kill on the same night. The other scum would likely go after Sentran and, of course, he was most likely protected by a doctor. In this scenario, you could see how a kill was avoided last night.
Also, keep in mind that Night 1 there was only 1 kill and Night 3 there were no kills. Yes, I think the doctor HAS been doing a good job the whole game. _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

Slow down there Sentran.
I was given the power the same night Jedo died and was told to give a choice on who to track that night.
-YOUR power was given to you after a lynch, a day kill. Hence your powers did not activate till night.
-MY power was given to me after a night kill, hence my power activating sooner than yours. My person died at a different phase of the game than yours did.
Also, Lucresia was already putting pressure on me so I wanted to prove to everyone that I can indeed track with someone who would most likely be alive. How would it serve the town if I claimed tracking for someone who might turn up dead the next day? Doubt would still follow me, like it is today after you role-blocked me.
Sentran: Why not give me the opportunity to prove my tracking ability? I still don't understand that. You had a doctor protecting you. _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

Forgive the triple post.
The only thing I could think of is that you claimed your ability in order to get scum to target you because you knew you would be protected by a doctor? If that was your thinking, it is brilliant. Otherwise, I don't know why you chose to role-block me.

Ctorj, you claim that the order of priority given by Amb would allow a night kill to transfer the powers of the target and have them be active in the same phase? I don't buy it. I also don't buy your claim as, well, me. There were plenty of characters to choose from, and even with time travelling included, I don't believe that Amb would duplicate a character. Also, even if you WERE Peter as well, the only reason not to refute my claim would be if you were the mafia Peter. Either way, I think you should hang.
Zag, I am not confirming or denying that RD went anywhere on night 2, I am stating that because I believe that Ctorj's powers would not have been operational on night 2, he could not have tracked RD on night 2. His claims of the track are the lie, not the results.
Ctorj is trying to muddy the waters. Lynch him to prove me right or wrong. _________________ Sentran

I have to applaude you and Ctorj on your teamwork, getting him to single me out in the thread and then sacrificing him has pretty much guaranteed you the game Lucresia, or the mason cult, whichever it happens to be. Probably the latter.
Here are the roles claimed so far.
Undercover Monk: Molly Walker
Sentran: Peter Petrelli
Zag: Nikki Sanders
RubberDuck Eden Mccain
Lucresia ???
I think the mafia have got this game, despite failing night kills so often.
I may as well claim. I am Eden Mccain, I can use my vocal persuasion to tell one player per day who, or what to vote for. Once said, that player may not change their vote for the remainder of the day.
Really the choice for everyone to make is either choose to believe me or believe Lucresia, as we were the only two unknowns yet to make a claim.
I am going to make Lucresia vote for herself equalling me at L-1 and then it will be up to everyone else to decide which one to finish off.

And just for the record it is 11:24pm in Nz, so amb likely won't read my PM until the following morning, the majority of the posting occurs during this same 7 gap, presumably because you are all on the otherside of the planet. So if Lucresia's vote doesn't change, it's because Amb is currently asleep, the only other way would be if Lucresia has an immunity to being manipulated.
Also before anyone accuses me of lying about my ability, I did it to Sentran on day 1, who I thought was behaving teamy towards MNO, but mostly because it was fun to throw the cat amongst the pidgeons. |

The Haitian roleblocker also worked for the company, yet was town.
Claude Raines escaped from the company after they betrayed him and went into hiding in the show, yet in this game he was scum.
In the show Eden was abandoned as a child and became a hooker of sorts, Noah bennet rescued her from this life, then used this to blackmail Eden to do things for the company. Eden was morally against using her voice for evil and operated indepentantly from the company when she tried to force Sylar to commit suicide, Sylar used his telekinesis to pull her through the glass window, then she commited suicied to prevent him from taking her power.
Alignments seem to be random in this game and change frequently in the show, remember also, that in season 1 molly walker was the "walker system" used for tracking and bagging heroes by the company. |

This doesn't seem to be a compelling argument, to me. This late in the game, I suspect that the mafia are completely avoiding mentioning each other (when they aren't bussing each other) to avoid giving anything away.
Lucresia, since you provided the compelling argument against Ctorj (which, honestly, should have been obvious, but I didn't think of it until you pointed it out), I'm inclined to trust you. However, I don't think I agree with you, here.
On the other hand, I assumed before that RubberDuck's power would indicate a scum. I'm starting to wonder, though, that it would be far too powerful in the hands of a scum. I also think that a scum would be afraid to reveal the power. Finally, I would think a scum would have used the power to implicate Undercover Monk when I talked him into putting the FOS on himself as a test that he didn't invoke the power. All this adds up to my leaning towards finding RD innocent ... but only leaning.
In addition, the fact that Sentran was targeted by RD's power was the primary reason that I felt him cleared. I don't have any particular evidence against him, and I still think him innocent for other reasons, but I'm slightly less sure about it. |

A mason cult is usually a mason group with some sort of secret agenda
A heroes example of this would be, you can join the masons, but you have to sacrifce your powers to do it. You could say a mason cult is the group of people that have taken the vaccine for removing mutant abilites from season 3 of the show. |

Zag walked to his, or should I say her, letterbox and opened it. There was an envelope with a request to meet in a dark alley. He did so, and out stepped Lucresia, master of the masons, Bob Bishop. Sentran, Peter Petrelli was there as well. And the lure of the gold was enough for the vigilante. He joined the masons immediately. And with 3 votes of the 5, that was more than enough to send either Undercover Monk or Rubberduck to the gallows.
Wait, screamed the duck, watch this: Hey UM, you ten year old girl, come here. UM, being a not so street smart child wandered over - perhaps expecting candy. You will Vote Lucresia. At this point UM was less sure about Rubberduck, and backed off. Rubberduck wasn't too worried. Objections to vote control never worked anyway.
But why was Sentran the Roleblocker smiling?
And why was Lucresia smiling more?
Rubberducks voting power was roleblocked.
Lucresia, grinning ear to ear, knew her side had won. After a minimum of fuss, Rubberduck was lynched, followed by Undercover Monk. Her masons proudly aware that the scum were dead.
But this town was lucresia's. With no more threats to her life, she quickly disposed of Sentran, simply with a cudgel she had aside for that day.
While Zag took it all in: His leader lynched a woman, then a child, then cudgeled his new Mason friend Sentran. He knew it too late.
Lucresia, Cultist wins. |

Summary and Thoughts
------------------------------------
Firstly the mafia was only 2 strong. I had intended a third, but when the game was about to start, I was one player short. I adjusted the mafia to have more night protection than previously and went to two roles. It turned out I had miscounted and there was space for a third after all. I kinda wish I had had a 3rd.
There are abilities that had Sylar gained he would have been hard to stop. Rubber ducks vote ability, UMs namefinding and Zags day kill would have been very powerful as he would have gained day abilities. Otherwise Sylar was restricted to 1 choice per night.
Sylar couldnt gain the powers of an ordinary human. In the original game design there were two, but I only remember the one I used now. (Noah, Lynch escaper)
If Sentran had become a recruiter, he would have been town and not cult. Sentran could gain the ability from any player he was following. He became a roleblocker after taking the ability from MNOWAX.
Quailman repeatedly sent night choices. It made me wonder what Role I had sent him. Im sure it was his way of telling for off for having vanilla roles.
The mafia and the SK both hit Lucresia twice in a row. THe first attack was thwarted by being night immune once (to cloudrunner) as Ctorj was roleblocked. The second attack saw Ctorj roleblocked again.
Zags first kill failed because Sentran had roleblocked him. Blocking at night carried onto the next day. (THis also prevented Rubberduck saving the town today, which he could have if he forced one of the Masons to vote their leader throwing the balance (or similar))
UM was able to search for any role but Sylar. Rubberducks odd behaviour blatantly lying about his ability, suggesting other roles, and what have you may have caused UM to waste an ability looking for the puppetmaster. His role was intended as a way of verifying claims.
The safe claim of Claire Bennet was ignored by the mafia. UM would have seen through it anyway.
Lucresia kept recruiting those that died. Eg she recruited Quailman, but Zag vigged him. Turned out that was a good thing for the town, but still didnt swing the game.
This game had me guessing a lot. Any group could have swung this game. |

Good game. Thanks, Amb! Grats, Lucresia!
I joined the "masons" mostly because Ctorj (who I already knew was scum) had said he didn't, and UM (whom I suspected) also said that he didn't. And partly because I was vanilla by then, having used up my one-shot ability, so I wanted something interesting. |

Thank you Amb, and everyone! I must say that was the most fun game of mafia I have played in a long time. Awesome role. And my dearest apologies to both Sentran and LIML who I have basically had to lie to for the past few days. <3. On the other hand, had Zag not accepted, I was not sure I could convince them that I was not a cult leader because I was thinking I had lost some credibility. I could have possibly done it but it would have been really hard. If I hadn't one, I would have handed the town a win lol. But I think I would have been rooting for them if I couldn't have one.
Also, I've had the "Goddess of Darkness"title since I was16. I think this game calls for a change. Can I have a new title? I was thinking "Cultist Mujer Extraordinaire" _________________ "And All anybody knows, is you're not like them" -Elliott Smith |

I would say good game, but it was actually total shit.
Lucresia, you played well. Whoever killed me overnight was a punk, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because some dinkbat blocked me and I wouldn't have discovered what you did. That said, you were a top suspect at the end of day 2.
I kept hounding on Sentran day 2 despite thinking him null rather than scum because I thought it might cause the baddies to leave me alive knowing I was barking up the wrong tree. So much for that.
I PMed Amb saying I suspected cR, but this was right after he was killed. It may not seem legitimate, but after considering who might be scum, I realized he was just that right level of low-key and not really helpful to be scum. Bah!
Crazy mechanics, Amb. Thanks for hosting and getting me hooked on the show. _________________ Paragon Tally: 19 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

There's a thread for requesting titles. However, no one ever gets one that they request for themselves (as Ctorj will attest ). But maybe others will have some suggestions. |

If Sentran hadnt blocked RD this turn, then town still might yet have won.
Im glad LIML kept playing, as I was prepared to hand her vote over to Luc to control if she left. Luckily I never needed to consider it. |

I'm going to interpret this as me single handedly keeping this game alive and interesting
Epically good game people.
My day 1 play style is exactly what it is.
UM and I were singled out for the vote switching, UM argued about it, which took the focus off me. I had many laughs to the initial reaction and continued arguments. Just the thought of knowing what I had done and how I was obviously picked as one responsible for it. Who knew it would screw UM' role over.
I figured out Quailman wasn't scum when we both hammered Sniklac16 for the Silverfire incident, this is why I did not vote him on that day. I don't know Quails reason for not voting me back, but im certain he never had a good one.
I thought Zag was the SK for quite a while.
I missed an entire game day, day dawned, argued, lynched in 8 hours straight while I was asleep, I got up in the morning Nz time and found the game was night mode again.
The odds are had Zag not thrown the game away by joining an obvious cult, everyone would have sided with Lucresia on the vote anyway, It is hard to say however. I was hanging out for Cloud Runner or LIML to take my side and nail Lucresia.
Lucresia, where did you get that name from? Everytime I read it, I get a mental picture of Lucresia from FFVII?
Ctorj - haha, you used the 2nd peter petrelli claim from my post, hahaha, too bad, If you had been told by the mafia GF that Claire Bennet was a safe claim things may have been different. |

When ctorj used RD as an example in his tracking it was very easy to convince Sentran to block RD, because he agreed with me on it. It was amazing the whole way it panned out because if Sentran never targeted MNO while he got killed, this whole game would have been wayyyy different. _________________ "And All anybody knows, is you're not like them" -Elliott Smith |
