Has anyone else tried any of theses games? I just recently purchased the wii active, and I gotta say it's really kicking my ass haha. I've only done it for two days and my whole body aches. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the pleasure of playing theses games, and what your view/results are on them? _________________ What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. |

It's alright I guess, not so much of a challange for me, but It depends who uses them and why and for how long. Probably ideal for people who want to do fitness at home without gym memberships or weight machines and/or time restricted. I'd say it's also good for gamers who are looking to get some beginner fitness and/or freaks who have an inner compulsion to beat it because its a game.
I'm not sure where I stand on this one, I don't believe people can safely learn MMA from a video game. But then I need to go buy it before I can really judge it.

“An overweight guy went to the doctor who advised him to try Wii-fit. But he guy said he couldn’t be bothered. “Well” suggested the doctor, “try something that leaves you a little short of breath.” So he took up smoking.”" (Jo Brand)
Personally, I'm all in favour of things that will get people exercising without them feeling like they are working. Things like aerobics did that job well in the 80s; this seems like a logical extension of that with the advantage that not only can men relate to the challenge presentation but children are more likely to get into the habit - and early habits are the ones that are hardest to break. _________________

I have a Wii Fit I borrowed from my father-in-law collecting dust near the TV. I'm in better shape than the majority of Americans, in that I can still pass an Army PT test (did so just under 2 weeks ago). _________________ Sentran

Heh. First it was the NES Power Pad games (which were, admittedly, few and far between). Then came the revitalization with Dance Dance Revolution. Now there's Wii Fit, and the various dance games available for modern systems.
Honestly, forget the Wii Fit board. The best video game system right now for actually getting a work out while having fun would be for the Kinect.
Not that I'm going to pick them up any time soon. I'm way too lazy a sod for that. _________________ * These senseless ramblings brought to you by Insanity™. If you just can't figure the dang thing out, it must be Insanity™.

It's a bot!
But at least it had the decency to read at least one post before writing a comment.

| Xbox Kinect Fitness Evolved is pretty fun.. lots of different kinds of excersizes, ranging from jumprope, to boxing, to basically Dance Dance Revolution and bootcamps. |
