Well, if there still is a town in the morning, at least you will know who you should have went after. Good luck town.

The small town of Bon Temps, now getting smaller, woke up in hopes that they survived the night with no killings. They however had no such luckas they saw a body still burning in front of the entrance of their favorite restaurant

sentran sam merlotte roleblocker killed night 5

It is now day with just 5 alive it will only take 3 to lynch

Sorry, Sentran. I really thought you were guilty, especially when Lucresia turned out to be innocent.

It's a clever and daring ploy by the scum, to kill one of the two people that many people found to be suspicious yesterday, hoping for a quick lynch and no real discussion. And I'm left without any good candidates -- I was so sure that either Lucresia or Sentran (or both) were mafia.

I do have a plan, though. I suspect that Durryn followed me last night. Durryn, if you can tell me where I went, then I'll believe you, at least. All I will say is that I did something unexpected.

If we have 4 townies and 1 mafia left, and we lynch wrong, we'll be left with 3 townies and 1 scum going into the night, and 2 townies and a scum going into the next day, assuming I don't kill. If I were to kill, and I missed, we'd be left with 1 townie and 1 scum--a loss.

I doubt we have 2 mafia left, but if we do, this is LYLO even accounting for my vig kill.

As a cleared townie, spyrl would have seemed the natural choice for the nightkill, as opposed to Sentran who was under some serious suspicion. Who would have killed Sentran?

Zag is at the top of my suspicion list, because itisally, Durryn, and spyrl all seem unsuspicious. But if Zag is scum, why would he have gone after Sentran? Perhaps so that I would ask this question?

If Durryn is mafia, on the other hand, he could have killed Sentran in an attempt to clear his name. It's a possibility that he could be a mafia tracker.
Reading his ISO, the only thing that sticks out to me is that he wasted his tracking ability one night following me, after I had claimed vig. (If I had gone somewhere during the night, there'd be a dead body to show for it.)

Holding off on a vote for now.

Okay, I have reread all my own posts now.

Up until now I have been barely secure in my choices and trusted to what I could read into what was said.

I was certain that either Zag or Sentran were scum. With Sentran dead and posthumously cleared I am back to Zag.

I am sorry if this upsets anyone, but the Scum has to be Zag, Silverfire, or Itisally.

Dang it!!!!

In post 425 I ran through my suspect list. Here it is condensed to just those living and modified suspicion placement:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zag: Decent claim, survived lynch in suspicious way. - scum/town 50/50 {#1}

Itisally: Didn't leave her house, someone dies, Silver claims no hunt -Solid Town (could be GF) {#3}

Silverfire: Bloodsucking Vamp........Town/Vig ????? (no cop, can't validate) {#2}

Spyrl: verified Mason -Solid Town

Durryn(me): I know I am town -Solid Town
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even with Zag staying home someone dies.......

We have got to lynch Scum or town loses this game. I hate losing!!

I am going back to my gut.

Vote: Zag

Either vote with me or lynch me. Your call. The scum has to be one of you 3, (Zag, Silverfire, Itisally) nothing else makes sense to me. Come on Town. We can do this.

I really thought it would be Sentran or Zag as scum after Lucresia came up town, But then Sentran Dies and is town. Grrr. Dispirited

Well first I thought what a great ruse for Durryn (as I am sure Spyrl is town). It would look like Zag was getting Sentran out of the way after a spat yesterday. He is pretty new and it seems like a pretty good plan.

But something was nagging me about the way Zag was. He responded emotionally to things which was pretty out of character for him (from my experience). Sentran even commented on Zag's use of rhetoric. And there was this whole Vote analysis that he said he would do and never got to. I thought about this a lot during the night and decided that there might be something there he didn't want me to see. So I finished the list ( I will post it right after this.) and All that I noticed was that he jumped on a lot of vote's , but he didn't get back on the BBG one. Well I thought that he explained himself pretty well about that. But Now I am not so sure, and as I have mentioned befor some of those votes are pretty hard to analyze bassed on the cercomstance.

So why not just vote for Zag? Because the only person voting for him right now is the other suspect, and he could be leading me down a bunny trail. If I trusted Durryn I would be concerned that there was a night Kill when Zag stayed home, maybe Durryn is covering for his buddy, he is scum too and he did the kill last night. It could dbe they belived there was no way to save Zag so they would buss him.

OR maybe Zag is a GF and always comes up as home. Then he could have done the kill and still be the only one left.

So I see three possibilities

Zag as GF alone

Durryn and Zag as a team

Durryn as mafia tracker alone

This all assumes I am not WAY off and it is Silverfire.

Taking all you scum in order of posting.

Silverfire wrote:

Oh! Good idea! I had never thought of making a mafia tracker, but there's no reason that couldn't make sense, especially with this theme. (I haven't watched the show, but I've spent a fair bit on the show's wiki.) That would explain some things.

Silverfire wrote:

An excellent point. Why haven't there been more dead bodies from you? Perhaps you're not so much a vig, but a scum with a one-shot ability to make an extra night kill? I have to commend you for an excellent use of it, in that case.

Durryn wrote:
Okay, Zag. You went no-where.

Well, this was either a good guess, or maybe you are a tracker, but, as Silver points out, that doesn't exactly clear you. I investigated myself, partly to test you, Durryn, and partly to see if that might be the key that makes me into a real cop. (By the way, I came up guilty, which I thought would amuse everyone. For the record, Ctorj, I got no result; Quailman came up guilty, UM, guilty, but Sentran innocent. It really does seem to be random.) I assumed that investigating myself would read as not leaving home, but maybe not.

So you claim you follow me, claim I didn't leave my house, but you still think I'm scum. Are you assuming I'm a psychic scum killer? It sounds a lot like a scum trying to throw mud the most suspicious person remaining, and I'm a little impressed that it is taking hold. I'm curious why you killed Sentran, though. With two suspicious people, you might have survived the next night, as well.

itisally wrote:
So I finished the list ( I will post it right after this.)

Thanks! I've been lazy.

itisally wrote:
and All that I noticed was that he jumped on a lot of vote's , but he didn't get back on the BBG one

Oh, that's ALL you noticed? You didn't notice that Durryn (i.e. your scum buddy) put in the last two hammers? That didn't strike you as something worth noticing?

itisally wrote:

This is ridiculous speculation that reveals a lot. You speculate that Durryn could be guilty, and then still consider his report on his investigation to be true. I'm wondering if there is some real scum knowledge going on there.

Spyrl has not yet commented. I am still finding it hard to suspect her, after being cleared by UM. Of course, there is a role of a false mason -- the one member believes his mason buddy to be another mason, but the other is a scum fake. It's something like the siblings roles I had in my game, for which Sniklac was the mafia side (so we know he's aware of the idea). You have to admit that UM was killed at exactly the right time for that to work best: She kept him alive until he had publicly cleared her, then bumped him off before he would have any reason to retract it. I do have to commend you for staying well under the radar since, however.

--------------------------------------------

I have to put my top suspicion on Durryn. He came after me, in spite of having evidence which would clear me. I'm puzzled as to why he presented the real evidence, though, rather than just lie about it. Maybe part of his role is that he is not allowed to lie about his investigations. People who watch the show: is there anything like that? Someone who is compelled to tell the truth about some subject? It's as if he presented the evidence in a blur, and then tried to distract from it. And let's not forget who hammered raekuul and Lucresia, both.

Anyway, I believe his claim of tracker, just not his claim of alignment. vote: Durryn

Anyone that knows me will attest that I am often the Hammer!! And I tend to revel in it. All part and parcel to the Paladin I try to be in my everyday life.

I have no way of explaining beyond what I have said in the past and that I was right on BGG when I was going by instinct. MNO gave himself to us. Since then I have allowed myself to be swayed by Sentran and Zag. Always feeling wrong but not knowing what/where else to go I followed along with thier logic.

I am going back to instinct and my faith.

I have only one card left to play and those that know me will understand.

On my honour and by my faith, I am the Town Tracker and Zag is scum and must die. Every fiber is telling me he must go. If he is not scum I will not survive the night anyway.

I really want to see something from spyrl right about now. Despite Zag's apparent misgivings, in my eyes she's still a cleared townie.

It seems to me that Zag is scum. In his last post, he tried to generate suspicion of everyone but himself. Why would a townie do that? It's possible he just has no idea who the scum is, but it seems to me that a townie would be more honest about that. Strong FOS: Zag, but I'm holding off on a vote, because I really don't want a scum to hammer before we get a chance to hear from spyrl.

I think did not make myself clear. I don't really suspect spyrl. That is, I suspect everybody, but spyrl the least (by far). The problem (and the point of my last note) is that I can put together a scenario in which each person is guilty. I really don't like being this late in the game and still feeling like I have no clue.

I find my paranoia increasing, and I'm a little worried that my vote is 1. a little too paranoid, and 2. too dangerous if it is wrong. So I'm going to unvote for now. I still find Scurra to be my most suspicious, but he seems so very sincere with his swearing upon his paladinhood. If it's genuine, then he has really backed himself into a corner for future games. (I do think it is inappropriate for Sentran to rise from the dead and make fun of it, too.)

Anyway, you didn't answer my question. If you're really a vig, why have you used your ability so little?

What you missed Zag is that if Durryn is lying and you are both scum then you are covering for each other last night. He says you were home, you say you investigated yourself at home. If you guys are covering either could have done the Kill. Or Are you a GF where the traker would have gotten a home read anyway.

Regardless of all that your attempts to make everyone look bad firm up my choice. I hope Spyrl sees it too.

LOL. I can't really blame you about Quailman. I thought he was guilty, too. And I've vig'ed him (incorrectly) in other games. He just gives off that guilty vibe. (At least he wasn't a doc in that game. I forget what he was, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a doc.)

Anyway, I think you are going to have to make a choice this time. I know that Durryn and itisally think I'm guilty, and I think that they are. I don't know what to say about it except to say that I'm not scum. I'm just an active player and I've been trying different things to smoke out the scum, mostly unsuccessfully. My WIFOM games on the first day turned out not to be that good an idea, I admit; I didn't learn anything and it made everyone suspicious of me.

So you and spyrl are going to have to be the ones to make a choice. Obviously, I'd like you to look at the evidence I have. I was cleared by our cop, and I was the one to point out the gaff made by MNO and got him lynched. Durryn, on the other hand, brought in the hammer on the last two townies lynched. Admittedly, I was the one to bring forth the evidence against raekuul, but you have to admit that it was pretty reasonable and compelling -- his actions were just too anti-town to make sense.

I'm making my last plea -- it's down to you and spyrl. No more sitting on the sidelines. If you decide to vote with Durryn, I understand. I've played a few games, even last night, investigating myself. If you do, I just hope it's just him, since we're at lynch-or-lose if there are two scum left.

And if you're really the scum, well, I have to congratulate you on a game well played.

Gah. I feel so WIFOM...which is not where I wanted to be this far into the 'week' so to speak.

The overall feeling I keep coming back to is that Zag and Durryn both seem innocent. Zag was the first to point out MNO's gaff, in post 342. And the read I get is that Durryn has been spot on for tracking feedback and seems town (although as had been said, that could be a mafia thing too).

It has been a quiet week end so I took some time today to read in ISO. I found a couple of things of intrest

spyrl wrote:

MNOWAX wrote:

Mafia's only real threat for the three of us was Jedo because he could kill.

(underline added by me)

If MNO means that there where 3 mafia when he made this comment then we still have two left. I think this was the case, however it is quite possible that he was talking about over all which would include bbg, leaving only one Mafia. If only MNOWAX had been more clear. Laughing

Silverfire wrote:

I often find it difficult to make meaningful contributions to the game, but especially when I'm mafia and I know everyone's alignment already.

Durryn had actually pointed this one out and I wasn't taken by it at the time until I saw it with this:

Look at how much I've voted this game. Note how infrequently I might've been sure enough to kill someone. The one time I used my power, I felt so sure I was right, and I killed our doc.

Now it seems odd to me that knowing stuff and not knowing stuff can both result in a lack of activity. Also Silverfire has accused Zag in three of her last 4 posts but seems unwilling to commit. (hoping the band wagon will change?) But the quote thing is derailed because I find Durryn scummy, and it was his idea to begin with.

So really The only thing I feel pretty good about is that Zag is scum, and if we lynch him Town will win or we will have one more scum to kill.

Reasons to vote Zag:

Was on all lynches of townies and pushed bandwagon of Quail
Uses emotional retorts to Sentrans acusations instead of his normal logic
Unusual "lynch" scene for a human character in the show
Promise of vote count and then dosent (avoiding a trend?)
Inconsistancies in reports could all be explained if he was the GF (and we haven't found one yet)

Itisally, I haven't voted for Zag yet because we're quite possibly at LYLO. I wanted to hear from spyrl first, but more importantly I didn't want to make a hasty decision, hammer a townie, and lose the game.

Now, though, I don't think there's much more that can be said. If Zag isn't the godfather, this might be the game, but there's no more likely target.

Silverfire, I am pretty sure it is LYLO. If this dosen't win it for the town I will be taking a hard look at Durryn. But I have few reservations about Zag.

If it isn't Zag. That leaves Itisally or Silverfire in my book.

Ally is looking more and more like scum to me as the only "vanilla" townie

There may have been one other but I can't remember after playing Mafia 3 games this weekend.

If you are a Vig. I hope you believe I and Spryl are Town and take appropriate measures. If it isn't them...... Spyrl and I will have to take you out in lynch the following day to win.

So apparently we needed stakes and fire on the last lynch?

...and, even though it's redundant...

Without further adieu....

I can't believe you guys let Zag live so long. And I can't believe the vigilante killed the person with the name of the main character of the theme story. How could I have possibly been evil?

I'm still in shock that the cop claimed on day 2 with no votes to reveal an innocent result on the person who turned out to be the GF.

Good job, town, even though it looked like you wanted to give it away for a while.

Woot! Great game everyone!

Nice job itisally! I hardly considered the possibility of you being scum until it was down to you and Durryn.

Oh, and sorry about that, Quailman.... Embarassed

I was pretty sure I went too hard that last day. Good game every one! Felt like Scum was giving it away a few times too. All perspective.
