I have Word 2010. When I copied an image from GIMP into the word file it displayed fine. It was just a line drawing with thick black lines. When I printed it, my printer printed the outline of the lines, so instead of thick black lines its now double thin lines, like ===== instead of -----. When I changed the image in GIMP to use a dark gray rather than black, it printed the entire image properly in the gray. How do I stop it from doing this and make it print in just black properly?

Are you sure the lines are black and not dark blue, or some shade comprised of colors that your printer is low on?

Did you try rebooting?

You try updating drivers? Check the web site of that printer's manufacturer to see if they've heard of this before.
