"word whiskers" must be an American term. I've never heard it and it's hard to work out what it's actually referring to. I'll look it up now...on the basis that I need to know.

Ah I see. I would use the word "rambling" for someone talking like that.

Not that I'm being picky, but I think BELL-LEASE is a cheat because all the others are the right way round. I spent ages trying to make various versions of LEASE-BELL into a country... (Kicking myself for missing WANDA though, since I used almost the exact same clue in a puzzle myself recently.)

Well that would explain why I was having trouble.
I'm honestly not criticising.
