If I am correct, everybody has only one place to put X5, except for one very sad player who has no place for it:
| Code: |
OUT at piece 16
1 mathgrant 2 MatthewV 3 ralphmerridew 4 /dev/joe
xxxxxxxxx xx...#.xx xxxxx.... xxx.xxx#.
xxxxxxxxx xxxx###xx xxxxxxx.. xx.xxx###
xxxxxxx#x xxxxx#xxx xxxxxx... xxxxxxx#.
xxxxCx### xxxxCCxxx xxxxCxxxx xxxxCxx..
xxxCCxx#. xxxCCxxxx xxxCCCxxx xxxCCxxxx
xxxCCCxx. xxxCCxxxx xxxCCxxx. xxxCCxxxx
xxxxx.xx. xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx xxxCxxxxx
xxxxxxx.. xxxx.xxxx xxx..xxxx xxxxxx.xx
xxxxxxx.. xxxx...xx xxxxxxx.x x.xxxxxxx |
The 17th piece is. . .
| Code: |
Die roll: 1 2 3 4 5
Piece: L3 I4 L5 N5 T5 |
| Dice Roll: | Original Roll String: 1d5 1 5-Sided Dice Results: 4 br> | _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

I can place N5, while MatthewV and /dev/joe cannot, so I win. MatthewV finishes in second place because he has four connected open spaces, compared to /dev/joe's three.
Good game! _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

I am surprised at how fast this game went. I want the game board to fit all the pieces if you play perfectly! Half my plan was to expand in a way that I could fit plan for everything to fit and be touching. And then I found it to be impossible.
Even with an L3 coming up, the final placements would have been the same |

I personally think making the grid a mite too small to hold all of the pieces was a deliberate, and excellent, design choice. _________________ My logic puzzle blog |

Oh, I agree that it makes a better game. But it prevented me from doing what I wanted to do!
This game would also be interesting with two copies of the pieces and a quarto style of you pick the piece, I put it on the board. That way you always get the worst possible pieces. And the joy of giving the worst possible piece |
