You'll be getting your sword soon enough.

The ghost-girl cheers up. You hear something rumbling in the distance. You ready your hammer and prepare to enter the next room.

You check your inventory again, and find yourself bemused by your lack of a sword.

Begin reading the words carved into the table, but STOP reading if the second word is "memorized".

Check if I have all the parts to the blue scroll, read each section and if it seems safe and if have all the pieces assemble them the blue scroll.

Remind my spear that perfect paranoia is perfect awareness.

You read the red scroll. Magic gathers around you, and as you breathe it in you start to realize that someone is planting information in your head!

You now know how to cast Burninate!

You now know how to cast Paralytic Flare!

Your vision returns to normal. The red scroll separates into three parts.

You assemble the Green Scroll as best you can. You read the Green Scroll... From what you can tell, this is two-thirds of a Perfect Teleportation Ritual, but the critical part of the ritual is still missing. Casting it now would probably summon Drachicar or something equally bad.

Return to the main hallway. Note the magical ambiance of the Mars hallway.

Get out my spear, because he is a better conversationalist.

Go through the west door into what I believe is the Murcury hallway.

Look for the skeleton that should have a sword and great it kindly.

You ready your spear.

You return to the Mercury Hallway. There is a skeleton (headless) here. There is no sword here.

I'll go by room names more than directions when available. For a quick rundown of the area, the main hallway has an exit to the DESERT in the southern wall, the western wall leads to the Mercury Hallway, the northern wall leads to the Mars Hallway, and the eastern wall leads to the Venus Hallway. Each of the three hallways branches off into two trials as well as a vault locked by two color-coded keys, and each of the three vaults contains a scroll the same color as the keys, as well as a fragment of the Green Scroll (which you can't successfully use until you have all three parts).

There is another exit in the main hall, but it'll be inaccessible until you use it from the other side.

Also, You are now in the main hall.

You ready your hammer and enter the Venus Hallway.

There is a skeleton with a sword here. There is a door to the north. There is a door to the south. There is a locked door to the east. There is a pool of water here. There are bronze plates next to the south and north doors.

Did I mention that the skeleton has a sword?

The skeleton's voice takes you by surprise, as does the response.

"You want sword? You have sword now. You fight big guy maybe?"

The skeleton throws the sword at your feet. You obtain a SWORD!

SWORD: An uncommon weapon, skills with a SWORD are what sets the well-to-do Knight apart from the common Conscript. A well-made sword will last a Knight his entire career, and often will last longer than the Knight it was commissioned for.

You thank the skeleton for the sword, and he nods and sits back down. You notice that he's reading from a copy of the Tauropedia.

The sword is just a little too large to comfortably use with one hand, though training with it may very well help you overcome this particular shortcoming. The blade is dull, though not so dull as to cut nothing.

The northern plate reads "Strength". The southern plate reads "Cunning".

You step into the north room. The door behind you seals shut! The door ahead seals shut! There is a Skeletal Hound here. There is a skeleton (Neutral) here.

'Down boy, you only get to eat if they die.'

The skeleton grins. "The challenge of strength is simple enough - all you have to do is defeat a Skeletal Hound in combat. The only rule for the actual battle is 'No Magic' - to progress onward, you have to win using muscle alone. Of course, if you don't want to proceed, that's alright - I do know how to open the door back... then again, what fun is it to finally have someone enter here and not watch how he or she fights?"

skeletal hound? We need the hammer instead. No magic? No problem. *grins*

Have a bite to eat and sip some water, and tell the skeleton "we shall not only crush the hound, but you as well if you choose to step in our way. I certainly will have a bone to pick with you!" Ready our hammer, and get in a stance to attack the hound.

The skeleton merely yawns.

You ready your hammer. The Skeletal Hound drops into a defensive stance!
