So, I will buy an album from an artist who I really like, but I don't always do that.

It's an addon which is being advertised by Mozilla and the reviews don't seem to express any issues, but it doesn't seem like it is legal to me. I mean, I am able to download for free any song off youtube that I want? Seems like it is basically stealing, but then Firefox wouldn't support it would they?

I remember The Motto by Drake was on youtube before it was even released, so I guess what I'm asking is if any of you see basic adware/spyware tells on this.

i use YTD for all of my Techno downloading fun. Is it legal? define "legal". You are not paying for it, yes, but you have free access to the site.

If you think it is stripping ads from the youtube video and that's what makes it illegal, then any pop-up blocker would also be illegal.

Paying for music is not the easiest way to get it anymore. All the efforts at removing piracy have only crippled creativity. It is not surprising that people are still making good music. We want to create instead of consume.

When faced with questionable laws in doubtful situations, just don't get caught twice and don't make any money from it.

Im surprised that music/music video is on YouTube in the first place especially now that more and more people are continuously connected with smartphones.

Once its there for viewing/listening, i dont think its any different than recording a song that is broadcast on a normal radio station. I have no idea if its legal or not btw.

Have any of you gotten a pop-up tab asking you if you want to upgrade from the Youtube Downloader thing to this other Downloader product thing? Just got it for the first time after nearly a week of use personally.

it does have a paid "Pro" version for additional features, but you should not have to worry about using it normally.
