Alright, so there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of hoopla over what gets run in PT if anything. I think if we pushed to do one thing, with a changed forum title, there's a chance we may yet scare up participation and have at least one decent tourney for 2012.

Retracting my vote for Best Date (It wasn't a category that really worked anyways.) The choices are as follows.

-Most Significant Historical Date (a.k.a. M.S.H.D.)
Fairly self explanatory. Nominations will be in the style of:
Month/Day/Year
Country of Origin
Description of said event (It can be a sentence, paragraph, etc.)

-Favorite Cliché
For those with a lack of clichés coming to mind, this [url=http://clichesite.com/alpha_list.asp?which=lett+1]site[url] might be able to help you some.
Nominations should be as simple as a list of clichés

-Favorite Criminal
Not sure if this would be in the vein of Bernie Madoff or John Wilkes Booth but that seems like something that could be formed in due time through creation of the candidate list
Nominations: Listed by order of preference, (which actually should be done in case a Borda Count might come in handy) i.e. 1. Al Capone 2. Edward Teach 3. Charles Manson and so on...

-Other Option
This is to make the poll fail-safe. If an overwhelming majority don't like the options above, they can submit something of their own via posting in this thread. This is the last chance to change the topic of the poll, before going on with nominations, so if you have something, speak up.

Thanks for reading and the next nominations should be starting soon...

Wow, I have to say I'm a bit shocked cliché is taking such an early lead. Revenge most foul!
Didn't seem like there was that much arousal for it.

I went for other Best Hero/Villain combination e.g. Joker/Batman, Ripley/Xenomorph, Sherlock Holmes/Professor Moriarty, YHWH/Lucifer …

Ideally I'd want it to be a measure of time where every GLer has had the opportunity before them to either express their interest or disinterest in voting by voting or abstaining respectively. It's hard to know how to measure that as a time. Revenge most foul! Maybe...four days to a week?

Three more days seems like a good cutoff point. Making sure anyone who wants to gets their voice heard. Majorities will be heeded.

Just letting everyone know I'll give it a couple more days. Most popular option wins.
