The problem is that the code which picks out a URL tries to figure out what you mean, and it isn't always clear. More often than your case, someone will be writing something like
Go to my web site (It is http://www.zag.net).
We would like it NOT to include the parens in that case. Now the distinction between these two is pretty obvious to you, but it is tricky to get a silicon computer to do the incredible pattern matching that the one on your shoulders is so good at.
You can always use the URL command, which I am pretty sure works as you expect [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_case_(law)](Testing it here)[/url]
Edit: well, maybe not so much. |
