I liked that one, too. I have no problem with just 'dinosaur' for Rex (considering the movie), nor with 'Hollywood' for 'LA.' It even gives you the hint to think about movies.
The one I have the biggest issue with is BEDROCK, partly for the same reason as novice but also because a double definition loses something if the two definitions are already related. In this case "Fred's city" (which I would have liked better than "imaginary city") is named for the same meaning of the word you are cluing with 'foundation,' so you aren't really getting two different words being defined. However, these are far enough apart that it was acceptable.
I had no trouble with 'scores' for containment -- I saw exactly the interpretation you meant.
I also agree with novice on IMAGO, only because I've never heard of the word. I actually went to the trouble to look up IMGOR and IGMOR to see if they were insect-related words, but I would have needed a little more hint to think of Iago. |

I confused IGOR with IAGO when writing the clue, which is why I originally wrote HENCHMAN, but ultimately changed it to VILLAIN. That clue was doomed from the start. _________________ I hate people who try to write interesting things in their signature. |

These look a bit like cryptics, but maybe they aren't. This one seems to work straight:
Moussaka - Middle-Eastern salad with aubergines and tomatoes. _________________ I hate people who try to write interesting things in their signature. |

Fill in the blanks
SPOUSE - Relative of your choice.
INSURGENT - One who rises up, or takes up his arms.
SERVE - Work for or wait on.
NYNEX - Former telecommunications company, now a Northeast Bureau.
ZAALOUK - Middle-Eastern salad with aubergines and tomatoes.
Above are my best guesses. The last three look pretty certain, but no pattern has emerged yet. |

It seems the last clue is a bit too obscure. Sorry about that, it was a quickie.
Replace with:
