Since MNOWAX is the one who gave me 5 points and put me in the position of deciding, MNOWAX is unfortunately the one I choose to eliminate.

Sorry MNOWAX, you are eliminated from the game. And then there were four. We are in the penultimate round, as only one more elimination stands between you and a three-way final. Who do you want to go up against? And who don't you want to go up against?

This round's twist is pretty simple. You all have your 1 2 and 3 packets as always, but to give them out this round you must PM your decisions to me. You are free to discuss your decisions in the thread, but keep in mind that only the PMs to me count, and I won't verify any of the points until they have ALL been sent in. You may just send one message with all your points or do some at a time, but once you send in who your giving a point or points to, it can't be changed.

Good Luck

Well, seems like everyone had already made up their mind, as all the points are in already for the round!

Cordelia gave all 6 of her points to MatthewV
MatthewV gave all 6 of his points to Amb
Amb gave all 6 of his points to Courk...

Courk gave all 6 of her points to Amb. Amb you are this round's decider, and must eliminate MatthewV, Cordelia, or Courk.

That's a tough decision. I have an agreement to keep Cordelia in the game, but I know one thing. She will win this game if she gets to the final two. I know I'd be very tempted to vote for her to win were I eliminated. Then there's MatthewV. He has played a game of "Dont let me choose" so that he makes no enemies. But I dont think he is quite a dangerous as Cordelia.

But I have made promises to Courk about who the final 3 should be, and I will stick to them.

Sorry MatthewV, but you have been eliminated from the game.

And then there were three. Cordelia, Courk, and Amb. Who will win? Well it's not in your hands anymore, instead in your fallen comrades'. The finals will be posted as soon as I get the input I need.

Well fallen comrades. After my initial bad behaviour in this game to save myself, I decided I wanted to play with honour. That may not lead to a win, but I kept my promises this game. I hadnt expected Courk to take out MNOWAX when she did, as I had pitched him to her as our ally. Courk and I were planning to be the final 3, but split up on the final 2. THe plan was for her and I to give Cordelia all the points, and let her go to the final 2 with one of me and Courk. Had we had that round I would have honoured that.

I am not going to try sway your votes toward me, but rather toward me and Courk. Cordelia is alive in this game and not in the 'jury' because I stuck to my word. Because of this, I encourage you to see her as finishing third, and decide between me and Courk.

I hope Cordelia posts Enthusiastic Grin

And yes, I stuffed up the math earlier. I really did think Courk was about to blindside me.

And no, I never misled UM. Never even saw the possibility of what actually happened.

Amb wanted me to collude at one point, but I explained that I just wanted to see how each round played out on its own.

If we're doing testimonials at this point, I'm not sure that I have much to say, other than I'm still surprised that Amb didn't vote me out last round. I may have missed exactly when he promised to not vote me out, but I did not offer anything in return (nor would I have).

Of course, since this is a variation game, I'm not sure what "input" lexprod is currently collecting. For all we know, none of our self-aggrandizement will make a difference.

On a more serious note...I saw Courk clubbing a manatee. Yep, I've got pictures. $500 dollars for the negatives.

The promise was to Courk. We agreed that we would keep you for the final 3 and then give you all our points and have you be the one that split me and Courk up. That way our alliance was never broken. We decided on that plan after you rejected our 3 way scheme.

Well that's all very interesting, but it's time to shut up and find out who won!

For this game of Points to Play the winner is indeed picked by the cast-off players, but not by straight vote. After each round's elimination the losing player received two VICTORY point packets, a 1 and a 2. I asked them to give the points to any player still in the game at the time before the next round is through. The player with the most victory points by this final round would be and is the winner.

"But lexprod," you annoyingly interrupt, "what if one of the players with victory points is later eliminated?" Simple, that player gets their normal 1 and 2 point packet, along with any point packets they had received up to that point. That way even if your favorite didn't win, they'd have a larger say in who did.

So, enough boring explanation, let's see the results!

Juror 1: sAbLLimINal
1 to MatthewV
2 to Amb

Juror 2: ralphmerridew
1 to Courk
2 to Courk

MatthewV: 1
Amb: 2
Courk: 3

Juror 3: Undercover Monk
1 to MatthewV
2 to Cordelia

MatthewV: 2
Amb: 2
Courk: 3
Cordelia: 2

Juror 4: MNOWAX
1 to Cordelia
2 to Cordelia

MatthewV: 2
Amb: 2
Courk: 3
Cordelia: 5

Final Juror: MatthewV, who had 5 points to give away...
1 to Courk
1 to Courk
1 to Cordelia

Courk is at 5, Cordelia at 6...

2 to Cordelia

Cordelia wins the final, 8 to 5 to 2! She beat the other two players combined! Congratulations for winning this offbeat edition of Points to Play.

Thank you to all for playing, especially to our other finalists Amb and Courk. Also thanks to everyone for making this probably my least-laggy game yet!

I think, given that it was a small set of players, it went rather well. No big lulls, a friendly enough amount of bickering, and interesting variations. lex, I really thinking the variation on what happens when you were kicked out was quite nice (and I'm not saying that just because I won!). I was pretty sure by the way you said "input" that you didn't really need testimnoials, but I didn't foresee the resulting ending.

Thanks for the votes from those who voted my way, and a shaken fist in anger at those who didn't. Thanks for the game lex and thanks to those of you who put some lovin' into your play.
