Hey all!
I plan on watching survivor pretty closely this season and thought it might be fun to have a minor play-along game here on the forum. It'd work pretty much like NFL wipeout, you pick as many survivors as you like and score points as long as none of them go home.
I'm thinking the scale should probably be based on triangle numbers (1, 3, 6, 10, 15...) or if that's too dramatic we can just do 1, 2, 3 etc.
Thoughts?
PS: it premieres on the 19th

| I'll play, but I think triangular numbers would make the late game meaningless when there are fewer people to choose. Early leads could not be overcome. Even with 1,2,3... scoring the late game might not matter. |

Maybe, as the game progresses we ad a number to the wipeou minimum?
For instance, Add n to the nth round, so that there are more points to be won in the later rounds?
either way /in.

Hm what if it's the same max points available per episode.
Say there's 11 players, so the most you can list is 10 survivors...
Week 1 each would be worth one point so
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
then Week 2 you can list 9 max, so 1 point per, except the 9th which would be 2 points.
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2
Week 3.,,etc...
1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2
1 1 1 1 2 2 2
1 1 2 2 2 2
2 2 2 2 2
2 2 3 3
3 3 4
5 5
10?
So each week you could earn 10 points if you take the riskiest route, but if you list about half the remaining players you'll be around 5 points a round.
That make any sense? Just kinda made it up

Yeah, and sometimes in the first episode too... the final episode would probably just be a 10 point bet on final winner, or several wipeout lists for each "round" in the final episode

I will be watching Survivor like always but my plate is a little full with mafia, roll to play, two fantasy football leagues, Top Gler, and NFL wipeout for another weekly submission game. out maybe next season.

For this first week I suggest watching as many as the "meet the survivors" videos as possible to inform yourself. Knowledge is power

Additional rules: The wipeouts are any player(s) who by the end of the episode are no longer in the game. This includes medical evacs, quitters, other misc. expulsions, in addition to tribal council votes, other weird twists, etc. So if you list 9 of the remaining 10 survivors, and one of your 9 gets an infection and leaves the game, you are wiped out and score 0.
If there is a double tribal or some other ANNOUNCED elimination on an episode that was part of the "next time on survivor" then I will adjust the scoring accordingly and again only score you once.
In the case of the final tribal, there will be a list for those who make it to face the jury (2 or 3 depending on the season) and one one-player list which is your guess for overall winner.

So I've missed the fact that SARAH was DAWSON. And chuck has been getting points for Sarah. So I correct the points in old posts as if she was removed from his list at the correct point.
Also Trojan Horse is on my tail now due to my poor planning, bunching up the top three to make it quite the horse race.
