Vibrant colouration! My goals included having a bright green+pink and a significant colour difference in the top/bottom split. I am rather pleased with the results.

No-- but sort of-- I nearly always pick Julia points somewhat close to the trapped/escaped border. But that one was from much farther out.
It is much harder to work with the colour sets and the highly disjointed areas of activity typically don't make interesting compositions. I was determined to make that one work even if it does resort to using cyan.
Cyan plays well with other colours while adding contrast. It is easy to overuse.

That's interesting. Having seen so many Mandelbrot's, I can see the slight un-roundedness on the edges.

Because of all the self-similar aspects of Julia and Mandelbrot sets, one might expect to see such patterns frequently. But that is about the most similar I have found. I didn't search nearby Julia points in an attempt to make it appear more round.
The lumpy roundness reminds me of hand built pottery that attempts to be round. Side note: if you ever do hand build pottery never try to make it round.

I really like your labels for these. That and the fact that you put thought into the color scheme make it feel more artistic than just punching up a fractal and dumping color onto it.

You sure you won't make a coffee table book? I just looked on Amazon, and there's nothing like it. There are a couple of calendars, but the fractals are highly computerized, 3-D images. Boring.

I am starting to consider doing something with them. The quality of the last 150 is generally much higher than the first 300. I guess I at or near the number of required images for a book. Hmmm

The render time is ~11 hours for the vibrant Julia fractal that starts this page. But it is 9930x7020 pixels. The final jpeg should be ~15mb if anyone wants a copy. I think such sizes can be emailed but the limit may be 10mb.
