Last week I had the privilege to work on Big Brother brainstorming challenges. Hopefully at least one or two I pitched makes it through the execs and onto the screen without getting dropped due to budget or time constraints Revenge most foul!. I also did a similar thing at survivor, but even if my challenges got used for that you won't see it until at least next season. Big Brother starts up in about a month, and if I find a clip of anything I helped make I'll be sure to post Extreme Delectation

And no, I can't tell you anything about what I did or what the challenges were...but I did get to go to the house's backyard so nyeh Cannibal

How does one get on a gig like that? Not that I care for either of those shows, but it's pretty cool to know someone who does that.

I went to Ithaca College for TV-Radio, and they have a program where you spend a semester in LA and get internships. Through that I worked at a game show production company where I made a good impression, kept in touch, and then they got me the survivor gig, and survivor got me the BB gig.

Like most industries moving up is based on references, but with television shows being sporadic work, timing/luck becomes a much bigger factor. There's actually a good handful of people who do similar things (scavenger hunt events, team building exercises, etc.) when they don't have the TV work as a way to keep busy.

I'm still pretty close to the bottom rung on the ladder as far as game shows go, but it's fun when I get it. I've only been on the west coast for two years now, so I'm hopeful about the future Extreme Delectation (And if anyone else on the forum works in the industry, email me! Cannibal)

I'm still pissed that I didn't have the time to meet up with you before you left. it was such personally a bad time for me then.

Is the psychological experiment aspect of the show cool or is it just another drama (I get some people really love dramas, just asking though)?

I'd be the first to sign up for the casting.
