The night Raearia is sent to Erebus, everything seems to be quiet throughout the Bawn. When dawns light brighten the sky everyone returns to the clearing as they had for the past several nights. Upon entering, everyone sees the Warder waiting for them.
"Good morning to all of you. I am here to inform you that the Caern totem came to the Sept Elders last night and has said that it can no longer feel the presence of any Wyrm tainted here. You have done well in your duty here and we wish to thank you. We will send you back to your homes, with justly earned and rewarded Glory and Honor, whenever you are ready. Again, thank you for your assistance." _________________ Most posts made from my phone. |

Used Roles
Black Fury
Power: Curse of Aeolus: Role Blocker
Curse of Aeolus: "Flavor" You call up a thick, eerie fog that obscures vision and unnerves your opponent. You can see through the fog, but all others have trouble navigating by sight.
"Mechanics" With the use of this gift you block someone else from using their night ability.
Child of Gaia
Power: Mother’s Touch: Non-standard Doctor
Grandmothers Touch: "Flavor" This gift heals as does Mothers Touch, but can heal the user of the gift. This gift cannot heal spirits or the undead.
"Mechanics" During the night you will be told of any and all who were targeted for a night kill. You then get the option to use this gift to save one of those (if any or more then one), including yourself. You can only use this gift twice during the game. After it is used up you will no longer be told of those who are targeted for a night kill. If you target a non-town player, you will take their place as a night kill.
Fianna
Power: Fog of War: Redirector
Fog of War: "Flavor" No matter how disciplined the army and ordered the plan, a battlefield is chaos. Smoke, noise, hidden enemies and fear can all lead to disorganization. Even in the modern age, mistaken identity leads to "friendly fire" casualties. This gift exacerbates this problem to often devastating effect. A commander might not see advancing foes, or see foes that aren't there; a team may fire upon allies, or mistake a command to "advance" for a call to "retreat".
"Mechanics" This gift allows you to target one person a night and they will mistake someone else for their intended target. You may choose who you wish the second target to be, or leave it up to a randomized selection via the moderator.
Get of Fenris
Power: Troll Skin: Bullet Proof (limited uses)
Troll Skin: "Flavor" This gift allows you to draw on the powers of earth for protection, just as the legendary trolls and even Jotunn were able to do. When you activate this gift, her skin grows though and thick, covered with warty knots of hard, armored flesh.
"Mechanics" For 2(3) separate nights (you choose which ones) you can call on this gift to become Bullet Proof. Once used up, you become vanilla.
Silverfang
Power: Sense Wyrm: Cop
Sense Wyrm: "Flavor" You can sense manifestations of the Wyrm in the nearby area. This gift involves a mystical sense, not a visual or olfactory image, although Werewolves using this gift sometimes say things like, "This place stinks of the Wyrm" (with a few more colorful adjectives). Garou should remember that the Wyrm's taint can cling to relatively blameless souls. Werewolves may sense an innocent person who happens to work in a Wyrm-controlled factory or who has eaten tainted food.
"Mechanics" At night you may choose a person and sense if they are Wyrm tainted (non-town) or if they are free of taint (town).
Uktena
Power: Scrying: Watcher
Scrying: "Flavor" A useful gift for spying or communicating, this allows you to view everywhere by staring into a reflective surface. Other supernaturals, particularly those with scrying abilities of their own, may find ways to thwart this gift.
"Mechanics" You may use this ability to watch a single target at night.
Gurahl
Power: Song of Terra: Non-Standard Investigator
Song of Terra: "Flavor" By touching the earth and concentrating on the sensations, a Gurahl may "hear" something of the recent history of a particular place. Depending on how hard you listen, you may discover what has transpired in the immediate vicinity within the past 24 hours (or longer, in some cases). Use of this gift enables you to uncover evidence of significant occurrences, such as acts of violence, conversions or the passage of creatures across a chosen piece of ground.
"Mechanics" Once per night you may select a piece of land and find out what has been happening in that area. Your choices are: Where a body was found, where there are many tracks, and an open undisturbed area. Each will yield something different.
Child of Gaia Kinfolk
Power: Helper:
Flavor: If there are Garou, there are kinfolk as well. The Kinfolk play many roles for the Garou and help them out whenever they can. Their role changes from tribe to tribe. The Children of Gaia have a great network of kinfolk who assist them in many ways.
Power: Helper. Your ability to help others gives the town member you choose at night an extra use of their ability. However, different roles can have different effects, some beneficial, some detrimental.
MODS EYES ONLY:
If targeting the Cop the helper shares the results from the second investigation only.
(If large enough game) If targeting the Vigilante they gain additional insight about their targets alignment before performing their night kill.
(If large enough game) If targeting the serial killer the helper becomes their night kill target instead of their original target.
(If a small game, use S.K. result. If large game use the following) If targeting a mafia member, the mafia will lose all of their night actions as they corrupt and recruit the helper, making it mafia as well.
Fallen Red Talon
Power: Prey’s Cry: Role blocker
Prey's Cry: "Flavor" With this gift, you may emit a cry for help designed to lead a human into an ambush. In years past, the Talons would use this gift to mimic the death cry of a deer or similar animal, since many humans still hunted their own food. In recent years, since most humans wouldn't know how to kill a wounded animal if their lives depended on it, the Talons use Prey's Cry to imitate the call of a favored pet or another human.
"Mechanics" When you use this gift it sounds like one of your targets packmates calling out to them. They then spend the rest of the night looking for their packmate in hopes of finding them.
Bonus: You have a safe claim. It is Red Talon. Feel free to add any power you come up with to this claim. If you need assistance coming up with a power, feel free to message the mod.

It looks like this would have been a very interesting, larger game, Garou. I like the inter-play of the powers, and the consistency with the theme is pretty astonishing. Very nice. Seeing how the roles worked, an extra compliment to the town for using them well.
| Zag in the Dead Thread wrote: |

Maybe the difference is I don't think I'm very good as scum (I have a losing record as scum, last I checked), therefore I inflate how good I am as town. Still, as town, I don't think a game goes by when I am not an integral part of lynching at least one scum, either picking up the argument when somebody else has noticed something or actually being the first to notice and carrying out the assault myself. That's what causes me to think I'm good as town.
Either way, as I believe Zag has mentioned elsewhere, I am good at manipulating the voting. Rarely does the town not vote the way I want. You can chalk that up to whatever reasons (my winning rhetoric or sheer annoyance ), but I think that's true. _________________ Paragon Tally: 18 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

i really think that the scum lost this game on sunset of day one. Losing zag to a random lynch effectively put the game way out of whack for them, plus all the experienced twnies with power roles, the scum were playing catch up the entire time. On top of all that they were screwed when we figured out a way to keep a voting block safe from being killed for a while. _________________ The Man The Myth The Legend

I agree that we were doomed from Day 1, but I don't agree that it was a random lynch. LIML and I both made mistakes, and Jedo picked up on most of them.
Honestly, on Day 1, when a number of townies were going after jadesmar and I defended him, I was really hoping that LIML would make an OMGUS vote, which wouldn't really have cast suspicion on her at all, and that Rearia would allow those arguing that he was scum to convince her, too. I was planning to keep pushing that he was innocent, but in an abrasive way so that people didn't want to agree with me. As long as we didn't lose any votes, we could go to sunset with just those and it would have been enough to lynch him and to do a nice job of clearing me.
Instead, LIML's reaction was a little too measured, and Jedo sniffed it out.
When the tide started to turn towards LIML, I honestly did think that jadesmar was a cop, and I was ready at that point to throw LIML under the bus. However, when I saw an opportunity to move off of her, I took it, thinking it wouldn't look suspicious, but Jedo spotted it for exactly what it was, an attempt to divert the bandwagon. |

Ditto. I got what MNO got. I was going to ask for clarity, but then I got given info about Sentran. The mod offered to let me stay on, but I figured it was too unfair. If a cop claimed, and said they checked Sentran N1 - theyd be telling the truth and guaranteed my protection until I died. |

I posted this: "Perpentach is second on the game list, and thus the second most guilty in the game. Vote Perpentach". Given the vagueness around my grandmothers touch, I actually thought I actually WAS a cop-doc mix, and I was going to start off with this and seed drop who I found innocent. Of course it turned out I was merely a doc.
Thanx MNO for surviving longer than I would have. |

As promised, here are the roles that were not used. Happy reading.
Bone Gnawer
Power: Kitchen Chemistry: Vigilante
Kitchen Chemistry: "Flavor" With ten minutes, a bit of Rage, and everyday household chemicals, you can unleash a firestorm of vengeance against an uncaring world. You have a deep and instinctive understanding of the principles of modern chemistry, one that allows you to scratch-build and detonate explosives. (This gift exists to cancel out the need for any sort of "realistic" explosive rules in the game.)
"Mechanics" With a little time, you can set up an unpleasant surprise for your intended target. Simply p.m. the moderator at night who you wish to remove from the game with this gift. The appropriate scene will be posted afterwards. As you only have a limited amount of supplies, you only have 2(3) “gifts” to send.
Glass Walker
Power: Cool Mind: Vote Counter.
Cool Mind: "Flavor" Too many Garou are afraid of advancing beyond the limits of their bodies. To counter this, the Cyber Dogs camp of Glasswalkers have a gift that banishes fear, anxiety or any other emotion. People targeted by this gift lose their emotion temporarily, able to think perfectly logically.
"Mechanics" You use this gift on yourself to see how many non-town individuals had voted for the person who was sent home (lynched). You can use this ability only twice.
Silent Strider
Powers: Gate of the Moon: Ask a question of those who have been lynched.
Death Track: Speaks with Dead.
Gate of The Moon: "Flavor" This gift creates a specialized moon bridge that takes you to your destination instantly. At least a sliver of the moon must be visible at the area of departure.
"Mechanics" With this gift you are able to travel to those who have gone back to their home Caern (been lynched) and ask them a single question. They are not under any obligation to tell the truth. To do this, pm the mod who you want to ask a question of and the question to be asked. The mod will forward the question to your target and forward the reply back to you.
Death Track: "Flavor" Sometimes someone's journey ends too soon, such as a man dying before he can tell the Silent Strider important information. Silent Striders with this gift do not let the end of someone else's journey be the end of theirs. As long as the Silent Strider can find the body, they can then follow the trail of the spirit until they find the ghost.
"Mechanics" Same as above, except used on those who have been Night Killed.
Stargazer
Power: Rite of Knowning: Role Power or Role Name Investigator + Hated Townie
Rite of Knowing: "Flavor" The Stargazers, ever on a quest to answer the riddles of The cosmos, often turn to divination to puzzle out some of the more oblique conundrums of the universe - sometimes to even solve those questions that haven't yet been asked. There are many forms of divination available to Stargazers (or to anybody, really). Sciomancy is divination by shadows or darkness. Divination by smoke is called Capnomancy. Onomancy is the divination by letters of a persons name. Tephramancy is divination by ashes, catoptomancy is divination by mirrors, and austromancy is divination using wind as a guide. There are other popular divination tools, as well. The chosen for
of divination ultimately doesn't matter, only that the Stargazer uses it and believes in it. The Stargazer lays out her divination tools as proper (which may involve throwing bones, dice, or standing on a peak and examining the winds). The items before her then become infused with their spiritual counterparts. Dice may begin rolling of their own accord, the winds may begin blowing and whispering in the Stargazers ear, and ashes may hang in the air and reveal a shadowy face. Secret truths are imparted to the Stargazer, though they are not particularly clear at first.
"Mechanics" Whatever the type of divination you use at night, you will get a response from the mod. PM the mod who you would like information on and before dawn you will receive their role name or role power (chosen randomly by the mod).
Wendigo
Power: Command Spirit, Messenger
Command Spirit: "Flavor" You can give simple commands to encountered spirits and expect a measure of compliance. This gift does not grant the ability to summon spirits. It enables the user only to coerce them to obey.
"Mechanics" You may use this gift to tell a spirit to take a single message to another person. The spirit is weak and won't go near anyone who is Wyrm tainted (non-town members). The message can not be longer than 20 words.
Corax
Power: Thieving Talons of the Magpie, Power Thief
Thieving Talons of the Magpie: "Flavor" You can steal the powers of others and use them yourself. These powers can be Garou gifts, spirit charms, vampiric disciplines, true magic or any other such power.
"Mechanics" Night "A" you send the moderator the name of your target. Night "B" (or the next day) you've learned what it is and how to use it. The mod will tell you if it is a day power or a night power.
Nuwisha
Power: Swollen Tongue: Silencer
Swollen Tongue: "Flavor" The Nuwisha uses this gift on a target to stop that target from speaking. As soon as the gift is in effect, the target's tongue swells, preventing any form of speech. Howls and sounds coming from the target are muffled at best.
"Mechanics" Once per day you send me a pm saying who you wish to target. This can be at anytime during the day. I will then send an appropriate message to your target letting them know they can not talk (post) for a designated amount of time.
Black Spiral Dancer
Power: Smell Fear, Non-Standard Mafia Investigator
Smell Fear: "Flavor" You can employ this gift to tell when anyone nearby is threatened by you, as well as the degree of your targets fear.
"Mechanics" At the start of the day, when all of the remaining members come together, the mod will send you a pm letting you know one person who suspects your pack of being Wyrm tainted (used an investigation ability on any of you). You can only use this gift twice and you choose what days to use it. Simply send a message to the mod that you wish to use it.
Bonus: You have the safe claim of Ronin. Feel free to add any power you come up with to this claim. If you need assistance coming up with a power, feel free to message the mod.
Mafia Night Thread: http://www.quicktopic.com/50/H/xKgCrYtqTZGW2
Ajaba
Power: Nights Passage, Mafia Tracker
Nights Passage: "Flavor" By attuning yourself to the shadows from which your kind were born, you may walk through dim or dark areas while effectively invisible. Others may hear you or spy you with magical sight, but until you make your move, you remain hidden from view.
"Mechanics" With this unique ability you can successfully follow nearly anyone almost anywhere without being detected. Simply pm the mod who you would like to follow and the mod will send you the results before day starts.
Bonus: You have the safe claim of Pumonca. Feel free to add any power you come up with to this claim. If you need assistance coming up with a power, feel free to message the mod.
Mafia Night Thread: http://www.quicktopic.com/50/H/xKgCrYtqTZGW2
Ratkin
Power: Pyrotechnics, Serial Killer
“Flavor” Fire walks with you. While cowards cloak objects in darkness, you're a soldier of the Apocalypse; you'll cloak them in flames. The size of the object on question depends on your anger and your ability. Anyone using this gift must have some sort of prop to cover up the supernatural activity. Use gasoline, mix chemicals, or just wire something to blow. Even if it shouldn't physically work, your races undying hatred will give it the kick it needs to jump-start the Apocalypse.
“Mechanics” You are able to set things (other players) ablaze from a safe distance with this gift. During the night, send the mod a p.m. with the person you would like to night kill. Your role is serial killer. You win if you are the last one standing.
Bonus: You have the safe claim of Qualmi. Feel free to add any power you come up with to this claim. If you need assistance coming up with a power, feel free to message the mod. _________________ Most posts made from my phone. |

Almost forgot about Perpentachs powere results.
Investigate where a body is found: 1/4 of the total remaining players names will be sent. All names sent must have been using their powers that night. The first time this body is investigated the killer will be in the set. Any additional searches if this body will reveal more names.
Investigate where there are many tracks: 1/3 of the remaining players names will be sent. Each night investigated will be for that particular night. All names sent must be of those using their powers.
Investigate an undisturbed clearing: The investigator will be told of a meeting of a group. The group can be either the mafia, masons, the helper meeting someone, or the site might be an empty clearing with no one present. There is a 1 in 4 chance for any one of these results. Each time this choice is sent in, it will be for that night and a different result for each night. _________________ Most posts made from my phone. |
