Page two pwned. Recognise.

You're messing with us, aren't you Lunar? There are so many hundreds of 'free essay & book report' sites on the net, many offering several different essays on each book they cover, that the odds against you and another kid the same class choosing the same site and the same report for the same book must be astronomical. Way I see it, either you're messing with us or you have some bizarre pathological quirk compelling you to make yourself look like an utter dumbass on these boards as often as possible.

But what do you want to bet that the same one comes up first when different people search the same terms? Or that both of these schmucks are cheap and both ordered the cheapest report from the cheapest site?

Google search: "on the beach" essay. Fourth hit is Free Essay on On The Beach. I'll bet a dollar that LR's essay begins,
Quote:
If you could look into your future and find out your demise would you? I do not think that I would want to know when I am going to die. The characters in the novel On the Beach by Nevil Shute, however, have no choice. They all know the inevitable is coming and there is nothing they can do to postpone it. While some characters are in denial about the upcoming to others their death seems as real as the sun rising.
After all, if you're gonna be lazy, you might as well go all out and be the biggest, baddest, laziest mofo in the whole damn 11th grade. Or whatever.

Seriously, though, I've got to give props to LR for coming back to this thread and telling us the results of the story. He didn't have to post, and we'd have never known about it. But he did post, thus letting everyone mock his laziness and stupidity, which gives him a big plus in my book. C'mon everyone, a big golf clap for Lunar!

Ain't schadenfreude grand?

I wouldn't even give him that much credit. He was probably just scared Snik would post about it first.

Incidentally, we are going to be doing labs the last six weeks, and I think I might print this thread out and give to my students, as a case against plagarism.

Yeah, you're right. Didn't think of that. That would definately lower the odds.

Lunar. I apologise for accusing you of messing with us to get a reaction when in fact you're just a dumbass. Never again will I attribute to malevolence what can be explained away by stupidity.

And just what do you think your mistake was? Getting caught, or cheating in the first place? Since you are giving every indication that you feel it to be the former (go look up which one I'm referring to), then we have every right to call you what you are.

ZA is sad. Sad, sad, sad.

He was nice to LR. He gave LR props. Props, props, props.

LR was not nice. He said PWN. Pwn, Pwn, Pwn.

That is why ZA is sad.

Point of order: Lunar never actually admitted he made a mistake. Indeed, based on his posts in both Revenge and 6000 mode, I believe he's not capable of admitting to a mistake, at least not without blaming someone else as the actual cause of the mistake.

So here's your big chance to vindicate yourself, Lunar. You failed my previous test, back in the Lunar6000 days, when I asked you to post this simple statement: "There's a remote possibility that I may be wrong."

Here's your new challenge--a bit more difficult, I admit, but you claimed that you've grown quite a bit since those old L6000 days, so I'm sure you're up to the challenge:

Admit that plagiarizing that book report was a mistake, and it's entirely your fault that you're suffering the consequences of that mistake.

PWNED!!

Oh, and just for the record, I've made lots of mistakes, and most of 'em were completely my fault. And I paid the consequences, and learned from the experience. Go thou, and do likewise.

That sounds like an interesting thread. Admit your fault in a very stupid and possibly dangerous failure of judgement.

And LR, yes you are the only one to make the mistake you have, at least I hope you are. Plagiarism is a very base crime indeed. You are actually quite lucky all you got was a fail. I have seen people expelled for that behaviour. I do thank you for this thread though, its the only real laughs I have been getting for the last week or so.

Lunars Revenge: Wow interesting discussion this turned into... and for those of you who didnt want me to get it... to late I already did...

Roley: I'm not convinced that you get it, LunarsRevenge.

Lunars Revenge: Im not talking about the convo, Im talking about the free bookreport Revenge most foul!.

If our "match" is someone who would struggle to beat a trained chicken at tic-tac-toe we are in a sorry state indeed.

In case you are just tuning in to this thread, here is a quick recap:

1. Lunar tells the GL that he is so stupid that cannot do his own book report, so he would like to plagiarize.

2. The GL tells Lunar that plagiarism is bad.

3. Lunar tells us the GL that they are stupid and he plagiarizes a book report anyway.

4. The GL tells Lunar that they hope he gets caught.

5. Lunar tells us that the teacher is too stupid to catch him.

6. Lunar gets caught. He tells us that the stupid teacher only caught him because another stupid kid in the same stupid class copied the same stupid book report.

7. The GL collectively belly-laughs.

8. Lunar tells us how stupid we are for laughing at him.

I don't know why I want to do this. Maybe I'm just so overtired that I don't feel like putting up with anyone's crap...

Yup, did my very own book report on that, and got an A+. The work was all mine and I got an award for it. Yup. that's the success that stupid people crave.

No, we know we made mistakes. Not warning your parents before your birth comes to mind.

With your hidden internet knife? If the blade is measured in internet inches, it's only a pin. Do you know how many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Maybe you can count them for us, pinhead. Don't poke yourself in the eye. I'm not needling you. Like the nurse said, "It won't hurt. It's just a little prick."

It's not my internet ego. This is what I'm like all the time. Bigger, badder, and with far more education than you, in book-smarts, street-smarts and life-smarts. That's what blows my mind about you. You are not willing to listen to anyone who actually HAS EXPERIENCE in the mistakes you've made and LEARNED from them, especially the lesson that states "Sometimes, it's your own stupid fault". If you ever finish school, you'll discover that you have to actually produce your own work to survive.

Something else you learn in real life is when to stop being stupid. Are you done yet?

I'm done now. Einstein said that true success is x+y+z. X is hard work, Y is a good amount of play, but Z... That's knowing when to keep your mouth shut.

Here Lunar. Have a few ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ's.

Don't bother responding, because I already know your response will be stupid. Avoid the rush. Stop now.

Know whats funny? Remember how Lunar said I have a anger problem and flip out about everything? Well today he was writing a note to someone and had like 3 words on it and me and this other kid took it and ripped it up and he took a pen and said, "I'll jam this in your ear" and then we started to laugh and he's like, "It's not funny you homos. Congradualtions you just graduated from faggot." What is that supposed to mean? This kid is a moron.
