Story here
In short, old man buys car from U.S government auction, then gets arrested later because the government didn't find and/or forgot to remove a bunch of marijuana from it. Funny story, kind of, and I hope he gets a lot of damages.

| I heard that on the radio during my drive to work this morning. While it made me laugh, I immediately felt bad because this poor guy spent 3 months in jail as a result of the US Marshalls' negligence. Apaprently the car was originally siezed as the driver was smuggling illegal aliens and they forgot to check for contraband. |

| Put the Marshalls in jail for three months for their mistake. That's "Solomon" justice. |

| No, "Solomon" justice would involve cutting the car in half. Or maybe cutting the Marshals in half. |

No. Cut the weed in half and share. When they smoke, they can forget all about it... |

Technically, he shouldn't have to. Lack of proof that the car was thoroughly searched after being confiscated and before being sold again would constitute ample reasonable doubt. |
