Lets not hijack the Interfaith thread too much.

My guy and I need to get out and exercise together. You know, to strengthen our relationship and stuff. And sing silly songs. [/sh]

There's a hash group in almost every major city, so I'm sure there's few near you.
Half mind lists almost all known hashes in the world, or links to pages wityh more info. They also keep a songbook and various other things. Some of them may be offensive though

No you don't have to drink beer to be a proper hasher, though many do, and beer is used in lots of songs, games and contests. But if you prefer to drink water or pop, noone will think any less. You will be harassed anyway

The trail involved is generally about an hour to an hour and a half long, depending on the weather, your condition, wether you run or walk and the mood of the person laying it. The festivities after last about the same time, but can go on to late at night.

In general it's jolly good fun

If anyone has more question, I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

Hashing is a sport (well... sport..) where a few people lay a trail through woods/fields/citystreets/desert/wherever, and another group follows, or tries to follow at least, that trail. Usually halfway though the trail there's a beer/drink stop, allowing the walkers to catch up with the fast runners (also known as Front R*nning Bastards).
The objects is not to win, but to have fun along the way. Or to get wasted, depending on who you ask
