Have you ever seen this show? My family's watching it right now, and they have this thing where the contestants are shocked when the parents, who decide who their child will go on vacation with, receive videotapes. First of all, why be shocked? You know it's coming, or do you think the show's gonna stop this practice just because you're a contestant? But what really gets me is everytime I see these videos, which have relatives or friends telling a dirty secret about the friend. And they often say things with such delight in their voices. It's like they're happy to dis their friends and family. And some of the stuff they tell is just...terrible. Why would these people backstab their friends like this? Are they being paid? It'd sure have to a heck of a lot of money for me to spill things on national television about my friends, much of which I'd share with that friend. And I still wouldn't feel right about it. What's going on?
