Ok, who's seen this show? A very small part of me says I should be horrified. The vast majority is too busy rolling around on the floor laughing to argue I just wondered who else might be enjoying the show. For those who haven't seen it:

It's on TNN (which they're trying to rename Spike TV, but they're having legal difficulties). Basically, they got the rights to the footage from a Japanese game show, and they are running English dialogue over it. The English dialogue has no relation to the original dialogue. The show revoles around a bunch of bizarre physical feats. And the end result is hilarious. I am recommending it to everyone I know.

At least around here, it's on Saturday at 9pm, Sunday at 8pm. 2 half hour episodes each day.

It's my favorite show...EVER! I laugh uncontrollably every time. I feel like an idiot, but it's freakin' hilarious. Did you see the one with the huge football players?

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge? Reminds me of Takeshi's Castle. Another Japanese game show. Perhaps they're the same one, just with different names.

i would guess it's takeshi's. we get the show on a german tv, but i have no reason to believe the german translation has nothing to do with original japanese.

my favorite is the rolling cylinders above the river/water pit.

Yeah, it's footage from Takeshi's Castle, but I suspect they cut out almost anyone who is successful in a challenge

Is it that show where a typical test is cross a series of rolling logs, and another is an obstacle-course riding on a spinning flamingo?

Yes it is.

It's hilarious - both the competitions and the English over-dub.

Nah, the best is when they have to run through the doors. Some are paper, others are wood, or brick or something.

I cry because I laugh so hard.

Even when they break through the paper ones, they usually end up face-first in the mud on the other side.

It's not Takeshi's Castle. Takeshi's Castle is one of the best shows I've ever seen. However, The Most Extreme Elimination Challenge is a sadistic show.

There are some of the challenges:

- Playing table tennis with a bowl ball, with the head.
- Being the last in drop a paper on fire.
- Hug a cylinder that is aboce a river with real crocodriles.
- answer questions with a scorpion in your head.

woa.. a scorpion in your head?? as in, inside??

can i chose to hold it in my mouth then? (rather than, creating an improptu hollow somewhere else within my head)

Um... over the end credits, there's big letters that say "Footage from Takeshi's Castle"
