I've done the actual 500 Briggs-Meyer test as well. I am an INTJ. I've glanced through the other pages on that site about relationships, career, personal, etc. It all matches for the most part.
It's important to realize that we tend to compensate for weakness and sometimes downplay strengths when necessary, even if we don't claim to do so or realize it. If you don't quite match your profile, just think about how you do react in the situations where you don't match up. I bet you'll find that you are the exact opposite, and not just a little or middle of the line. It's usually the opposite reaction.
I avoid conflict mostly - yet, INTJs are supposed to "Not [be] threatened by conflict or criticism". There were others like that too.
Everyone is unique. This is a test, albeit a very accurate one (I mean the real Briggs-Meyer test), and it won't perfectly reflect reality. You might find that you have a different profile if you consider all the questions in terms of work, or in terms of love life, etc. Fascinating.
In one of our college courses, we spent a whole semester on these personality types and how they tend to interact. It was interesting to think about how differently I might approach a certain problem I was having with someone of a different type, and went a long way into explaining how people think and react. |

This site is a bit more professional than the one DP posted, and it disagrees on a lot of points, so it's worth a look. |

And the part of the site that's probably most relevant here:
INTJ or INTP?

INFP
Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving
Strength of the preferences %
44 33 22 22
I'm moderate to slight in each category, which is good, because i agree with half of the extended description, but disagree with the other half.

The website gave:
quote: Your Type is
INTJ
Introverted Intuitive Thinking Judging
Strength of the preferences %
33 78 78 44
You are
moderately expressed introvert
very expressed intuitive personality
very expressed thinking personality
moderately expressed judging personality
Which is the same result that I have received for the two times I have sat the full myers-briggs tests (though this one has me being more introverted than the mbt). Even then it looks like they have pretty much catergorised me.

I got ESFP, which makes me a Performer. This description is quite accurate, especially this part:
| Quote: |
| ESFPs love people, and everybody loves an ESFP. One of their greatest gifts is their general acceptance of everyone. They are upbeat and enthusiastic, and genuinely like almost everybody. An ESFP is unfailingly warm and generous with their friends, and they generally treat everyone as a friend. However, once crosesed, an ESFP is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgment against the person who crossed them. They are capable of deep dislike in such a situation. |

Hmmm. I looked at that site JDTAY posted, and its description of ISFP is a little more me (and its INFP a little more off). However, I've got enough of an emotional investment in being an INFP that LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU I'VE GOT BEANS IN MY EARS.

The descriptions are a little too positive.
Hard to judge how accurate they are with such bland info - it's like an astrology prediction or a fortune cookie. |

Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, INFP's natural partner is the ENFJ, or the ESFJ. INFP's dominant function of Introverted Feeling is best matched with a partner whose dominant function is Extraverted Feeling. The INFP/ENFJ combination is ideal, because it shares the Sensing way of peceiving, but the INFP/ESFJ combination is also a good match.

I've done this test three times before IRL. The first time I was an ENTP, but there were only about 2 points' difference for the thinker/feeler part. The second time, I got the same, but this time I was an ENFP, with just as small a difference. The third time, it was 50/50. I think I'm borderline, as far as that stuff is concerned. |
