quote: Please, enlighten me (This isn't meant sarcastically). You say you get it done becasue it looks nifty (which I don't understand, I think it looks horrid, but you can't explain you sense of aesthetics in words, so I'll let that point go.). You also claim you like the attention. This, you can explain. Why do you like attention?
Here, you don't even have to go back to Page 1 to find it. I'll even clip the irrelevant parts, to make it easier:
quote: Why do you like the attention you get from doing these things?

Is that a problem PP? Isn't that what the debate threads are? A few mild flames tossed in with the rubuttals against the people who disagree? Her opinion is that piercings look cool, good for her! What a nice little American, having an opinion all her own! But you dont' seem to like that because it goes against what YOU think. The pot shouldn't be calling the kettle black, or something like that.
I'm pretty sure I can answer your question for her.
Why does anybody like attention? Because that is how they are. Inside every human is that desire to be noticed. Don't ask me to explain it, I'm not smart enough, but it's there. |

Like every single broad generalization, this one is false ( ). But some do.

| I ignored your question, PP, because I thought you could have gathered the answer to that one on your own...yeah, and it didn't seem important. |

OK, I'd like to have tatoos done in fluorescent pigments that are invisible in ordinary light, but glow brightly under black (ultraviolet) light. To my knowledge, it's never been done. I think it could be the next big trend in ... er, something.
a) People could have full body tatoos and still not be looked on as freaks in the more formal stuffy realms they may need to work in.
b) It'd be psychedelic, man. |

That is a really good idea for the party people..
But I think that a fair number of people who have tattoos also want others to see them, show them off. Or for shock value. |

I like that idea, extra!!! *laughs* I know this thread was resurrected, but I know someday I'll get a spirit bear tattoo, and will cherish it.
Oh, yeah, I also want Hy's face tattooed on my ass, right in the middle. *giggles* |
