Well, GenCon is here, I'm surprised there's no post about it. Elayne, L'lanmal and I are attending.

Current results: L'lanmal kicks butt in Roborally, Eykir goes 4-2 in the 8th edition release tourney. (Nets a foil Two Headed Dragon and a foil Ivory Mask for his trouble)

Also at GenCon, and new this year, is a huge THP. 36 Puzzles placed throughout the convention, that are all inter-related. One was an 8-letter word Mastermind puzzle which was already solved by the convention-goers, one was a leet-speak cypher. One was a play on words. One was a 20-picture display of a baby where only two pictures match. Insanity, this puzzle is.

Have fun whoever is going!

Is this the extravaganza-type puzzle designed by Mike Selinker et al.? He mentioned running something like that when I saw him a few weeks ago at the National Puzzlers League convention, also in Indianapolis interestingly enough.

Yes, he did have a hand in this.
The Time Warp II was constructed by Mark Gottlieb, Mike Selinker, Stan! and Teeuwynn Woodruff.

I went last year when it was conveniently placed in Milwaukee. Now it's inconveniently placed in Cincinatti, and I won't be going.

Well, yes, it would be rather inconvenient if you went to it in Cincinnati, since it's actually in Indianapolis Only half hour downtown from us.
