DP got it last time. Other daughter this time Revenge most foul!

Edit: Older son reports wife due in April ("Congratulations", said I), and younger son reports girl friend due in May ("a bit Careless perhaps!").

So I'll be up to one each by next summer.

and ZK is right The bassoon reference is prokoviev - Peter and the Wolf, where the grandfather is always represented by a particular tune played on the bassoon.

I had to cheat and look up the old one.
Congrats, Chien! Pass it on to the new mom and dad, too.

Yay! Congratulations Chienfou! Ecstatic Happiness

I can only barely remember the old thread, but this means impending grandfatherhood, right?

I'm going to assume this is a Prokofiev reference. Congratulations, Chienfou!

Gosh it seems like it must be extremely contagious, the way this affliction is going around the family. Hey, better be careful Mrs Chienfou doesn't catch it....

Congratulations!

This reminds me of a UK commercial from the advertising awards show I saw advertising cell phone plans that let you talk longer due to lower fees. The premise is that people have very concise conversations due to their expensive per minute fees, and this company is advertising that their plans are obviously better. The situation is:

A father gets a phone call from his hysterical daughter.
She says: "Daddy, I'm pregnant!"
He curtly replies: "Oops!" and hangs up.

Might as well fess up. Older daughter had a 2nd son, younger son had a boy too and older son reports wife expecting. Younger daughter also. That's 5 and 2 halves at the moment. Is half a bassoon an oboe?
