Alright, here it is: The Official 2007 MoS-Faire Thread!

Who: All of you awesome people who want to have a good time AND play lots of games! MoS-Faire is open to members of both the GL and Mafiascum.

What: Lots of mafia, board games, card games, video games, sight-seeing (perhaps), good food, and, of course, STRAWBERRY BREAD!

When: June 21-25, 2007

Where: Charleston, Illinois

How: By car, bus, train, plane, or bicycle (Only available for a select few).

Should you be unable to make it to Thespival 2007 for any reason (distance, time conflicts, etc.), MoS-Faire is here to save the day!

We have plenty of couches and recliners around the house, so for once you won't have to fight over sleeping space. For those couples that choose to come, we have the comfort of 2 guest bedrooms available.

Should you have any suggestions for activities, games, food, etc., don't hesitate to let me know!

Please post where you are coming from and (if you are driving), if you would let someone carpool if they need a ride.

Courk, I bet if you googled it you could find a recipe. I don't know how to make it myself, but there is a restaraunt in town that is famous for their Strawberry Bread.

I missed the strawberry bread response!

There seems to be a few ways to make strawberry bread. Do they seem to use frozen strawberries or fresh strawberries? What about pudding, do you think they use that at all?

I'll hit up cp and see what he thinks. I'd like to go if a few more GLers are going, I'm not familiar enough with the mafiascum crowd to really feel comfortable unless there are some familiar faces (or screen names). Put me at about 20% =)

It should be noted that it's a good 6 or 7 hour drive if you're coming from, say, Sioux City, Iowa, since Charleston is in the eastern part of the state.

I'm more or less in agreement with Mackay. It's only about 3 hours from here, but unless there are more GLers, I won't make the trip.

On the other hand, if one were in Sioux City, Omaha would be a short trip.

I think this sounds like a heap of fun, but the thing is MoS, if I came to this I would have at least 10 years on the nearest person to me in age. And that might be ok... 'cept, I don't want to try and 'splain to your mom why I am there to have sleepovers and play games with teenage boys and nonny. Embarrassed
