I know everyone has seen it, but it's a classic. Anyone who listens to Bohemian Rhapsody in the car without head-banging is a disgrace.

Nine friends, competing for up to $85. Among them, a saboteur, a traitor: the Mole. The winner? The one who answers the question: WHO IS THE MOLE?

A group of friends got together and played their own version of the reality show The Mole. I guess this was actually their 3rd time playing the game, but only their 1st time videotaping it. Watch their efforts here:

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5

Not as much fun to watch as the real show (and much shorter), but given that the real show has been cancelled in the US, we'll have to make do with this...

The spider in Death Mage's video looked like one I had seen in my yard once before, but I didn't know what it was called. So I looked through wikipedia to see if I could quickly find it. Then, as I'm prone to do with wikipedia, I followed links, and eventually came to poisonous spiders.

I hate spiders.

I'm going to bed now. This should be great.

Spiders don't scare me as long as I don't hang my feet over the side of the bed. I might brush a web or something then. But if I let a foot slip over the edge, I wouldn't be worried about spiders. If I don't get my foot back over the sheets quickly the boogey man will get me. Spiders ain't got shit on the boogey man.

My latest YouTube kick: temple runs from Nickelodeon's best game show ever, Legends of the Hidden Temple. This one fansite called The Room of the Mandarin Hand has been working to put all of the temple runs online; most have been completed. Here are a few good ones for your enjoyment:

The Imperial Purple Robe of Empress Theodora (picture quality not so good on this one)
The Secret Map of the Bandit Queen
The Applewood Amulet of Emiliano Zapata
The Dragon Lady and the Blue Pearl

And my personal favorite: The Levitating Dog Leash of Nostradamus. Watch what this contestant does as the clock ticks past the 0:30 mark.

Bah. Sorry, Samadhi. Guess it was a subtle thing, and I should have pointed it out: (invissed)he couldn't reach the rope to swing across the pit. So he used the dog leash to retrieve the rope. Simple, but ingenious.

Don't feel too bad Trojan, I noticed it on the first watch. That was quite clever.

And I always loved legends of the hidden temple, thought it was a great show back in the day.

The best part was when the two making the run were complete bone heads and unable to do anything right.

what, exactly, is the question asking? I assume it's either "Which heavenly body is closest to earth" or "Which heavenly body revolves around the earth" but I don't know French and can't quite figure it out.

I took three years of French in HS (in the '70s), and did not recollect enough to understand the question. I thought "autour gravite" meant higher gravity, and therefor would have answered as he did. Maybe his French isn't any better than mine. Same with the audience.

Even Babelfish translates it to "What revolves around Terra?", and Terra = Earth, so...

I would hope that someone living in France would have better than a "3 years of French in HS" understanding of the language.

Then again, given how many people in the US don't seem to be able to speak English all that well (myself, of course, included)...........
