Then a very long day will start. The earliest a death can occur is 48 hours from now.

A quick note about vote counts. IF someone dies it may affect the lynch count. Example, if there are 16 alive, it would be 9 to lynch. But if 1 dies, then only 15 will be alive and the vote count will drop to 8. This might cause an automatic lynch.

Any person who dies will have their vote locked in place. So if "Antrax" was to die unexpectedly while he was voting "HyToFry" - that vote will remain in place until the end of the choice block.

A full vote count will be done shortly after choice block I begins.

The title will have info that looks like this: DSIV: Revenge of the Babysat [A20:CB1:L11:H300] Which will tell you
Alive = 20
Choice Block = 1
Lynch Requirement: 11
Estimated HOURS before End = 300 (Assuming there wasnt a lynch)

At the end of a choice block if no-one is lynched, there are no tie breaks - there is simply no lynch. There are NO extensions, save for Christmas where I expect a potential drop in posting.

Even though I see a mistake in reasoning in your vote count strategy Amb, I personally like it better your way, as it may speed up the voting process.

Example: If there are 16 alive and one dies, but the person who dies has already voted, then there are only 15 people alive, but still 16 votes. If a dead person's vote still counts, it should definitely count toward the lynch requirement as well.

But I like your plan, as it will retain the dead votes while lowering the lynch req., thus moving the game faster. If you ask why I like this, my answer is: I'm used to playing mafia on IRC; it's fast paced, and playing Mafia in forums can get pretty long and boring. (for me, that is) So I like anything that can speed up a game.

I was actually trying to decide if Yanni had a misspelling post restriction (which wouldn't be completely unreasonable for certain characters likely to be in this game). But then I noticed that his sign up post for this game didn't have good punctuation or capitalization either. So I think he's just not a good typist.

(Just because you don't know how to read music doesn't mean you can't use a spell checker.)
