Has it really been a year?

I was looking in the old forum, and I noticed that it was opened May 17, 1999... tomorrow will be one year... that's crazy... I'd just like to thank Minotaur for providing these forums, for some of the craziest, intellegent discussion on the net

Were some of the oldest posts removed? I see my oldest post in there is August 8th, which I think is about when I discovered the forum. I don't see any posts before mid-July.

It's amazing the quantity of great problems that have been posted during this relatively short period of time. Hundreds and hundreds of interesting puzzles.

some of the older posts were taken off the index because it was too big... Griffin pointed out in the OT thread that they are all still on index.old... though when i was looking at that, the first post after minotaur's is numbered 5. I saw that my first was July 6... though I had been reading since it was up. I agree, a great selection of puzzles for 3 months...
well, thats how long it was before this forum was opened, we musnt forget the other *coughSolvercough* puzzles after that...

Look at the "ftp-like" page ( this one ) and you will notice that there ARE quite a few (i'm using this as what would i understand by "a little lot", ) numbers between 00..1 and the last one [i forgot this!!!]that HAD been deleted![i am really dumb!] There has been some backup (or archiving, if you prefer), as i have seen said somewhere...
