The Rules: ( stolen maliciously from poker, who stole it from Mgm, who stole it....)

1. Have fun.
2. There are no unusual game mechanics twists - this is a typical day-and-night Mafia game starting in day. (The roles themselves may be somewhat tricky, however.)
3. If you're dead, you're dead. You are only allowed to make posts not based on the game, other than a go town or go mafia post, but that's it.
4. No PM communication unless your role allows it.
5. Voting must be in bold in the form of Vote: Talzor. Unvoting must also likewise be in bold: Unvote: Amb Unvoting is not mandatory unless you wish to completely remove your vote from anybody.
6. I hope day deadlines won't have to be established, but if they are, they will be one-week deadlines. Every night has a default five-day deadline. That assumes i make it here in that deadline, if it comes inm after the deadline, and im not here, im counting it.
7. The day will end at a deadline or at the number required to lynch, which will be the first whole number higher than half the number of surviving players (4 for 6, 7 for 13, etc.) If the day ends with the number met, the player lynched will be lynched. If the day ends with a deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched, no execptions. In the event of a tie, there will be no lynch.
8. "No lynch" is permitted in this game.
9. During nights, if you don't have a choice, I request that you send a confirm - just to let me know you're still here.
10. In any disputes not settled here, I have the final say.
11. No editing posts. obviously.

I suppose I should address Quailman's suspicion of me.

Basically, when I saw the posts made between my original (non) vote and the next post I made, you made me realize (perhaps in a roundabout way) that no lynch the first day actually would be no good for the town's side. That, and I've been doing some research on mafia games in general, and that research helped me see several mistakes I had been making. One of those mistakes is the one I just referred to: In a game this small, it's better to try for a lynch and hope you get lucky bey killing mafia, instead of palying it safe, not lynching, and letting the mafia increase their ratio to townies on the first night.

Now, why did I vote you? I suppose it's the closest thing to an OMGUS vote from me, though I feel that may have been a bit much.

So, for now, my vote remains Quailman, but it's not because I suspect him. HOWEVER, he may just barely have a good reason to suspect Dutters. I only say that because I also have a hard time gathering what Dutters meant with his post. It's pretty confusing. For now, my vote stays where it is, but only because any change still feels random, BUT this Dutters thing is the only possibility of any kind of trail that connects to a lead. No FOS for Dutters, but I am being cautious.

As for Judge's comment about me, I had to look up the meaning of "nous" just now (Yes, I know...laugh at me, it's deserved.) What Blake means is this:

We both belong to a wrestling e-fed forum where he has introduced the game of Mafia to our discussion boards (click here to view.) So, he introduced me to the game recently and sparked my interest. I started researching Mafia in general (and continue to, as mentioned) and came across GL and joined this game. When we needed replacements, I gave him a heads up about this game and he joined. His comment that he knows I have "some Mafia nous" simply means I am one of the few on that other forum who has shown any true grasp of how to play Mafia. However, as you can see, I'm still learning.[/url]

I had actually already found MafiaScum.net on my own, as well as their wiki, etc. I had just got done watching a flash demo of various mafia roles done by that same guy last night.

And just to clarify, I didn't post the link to try and sway people to come join there, I just wanted to offer proof of my claims.

The reason I'm not switching to no vote is because that would bring me back to my original problem. Now, I'm certainly willing to vote someone else, but what good would it do this game for me to go back to my original newbie mistake? We have no evidence on anyone, including Quailman, but will we be better off just not lynching? When I rethought my first action I came to the conclusion that, no, we would not be.

So I went with Quailman, simply because he already had another person voting to lynch him and I suppose I was also returning the favor at the time. Now, he's since decided not to vote for me, so that's one reason gone, but who should I change to? He has the leading amount of votes, doesn't he? That's all it is.

As always, I'm open to hearing arguments for another option, but while I see one that's just as good as this (voting for lazarusmoth, thus giving him 3 votes and Quailman 2), none of them are a better option. That's all I'm looking for. And if switching my vote to lazarusmoth is what it takes to clear myself, fine. Just let me know.

I know I have unwittingly raised my profile quite high and in quite a negative way, but I feel people are suspecting me almost solely because I'm new here, and...well...I have to defend myself somehow. I figure talking it out is the best way.

So what are our other options, besides voting Quailman? Should I change to voting lazarusmoth? I'm a decent fella, and willing to listen.

I totally agree with Quailman's post (#23). I have no idea why Dutters would quickly place a 4th vote on with a reason that doesn't make sense. He doesn't even offer a clarifying post afterwards, just something about him "standing by his vote".
