Originally, the worthless news thread was called "Just for fun."

This is it's fourth generation of thread life. So, without further ado...

Please enlighten us, or else he'll hurt me.

DragonCon Sci Fi convention in Atlanta. I was there last weekend. There were people taking pictures all over the place. http://www.dragoncon.com usually has links within a few days of ending.

It's not impossible to eat frozen waffles. You just errr... eat them? They're kinda crunchy, so it takes longer to eat than a cooked/toastered waffle.

By the way, SK, you are one of the few people I know who spells bass correctly. Yay! (In case you're wondering, many people spell bass b-a-s-e.) Learned anything yet?

despite having graduated in june, my highschool GPA surged upwards in the past few days. My stats teacher has a policy of changing all your grades to A's if you get a 4 or 5 on the AP test. And while my chemistry teacher doesn't have that policy, apparently she decided there was such a desparity between my course grades and AP score that she changed my second semester grades to A's.

Bah! They didn't do that for me. Twenty-nine years and I still remember the look on my Chem teacher's face when he heard that I got a 5. He was upset enough that there were only two in the class (of nine), but shocked that I got one of them.

Just a bit ago.

Me: I don't want to do my homework. Instead, I'll go get something from upstairs.
I then walk out of my room, up the stairs and...
Me: What did I come up here for? *ponders a moment*
Me: Oh well. *walks downstairs, sits in front of computer*
Me: Oh yeah! *prossess repeats 3 more times*

I've now given up on whatever I needed.

well, what happened to me once:

We were assigned lockers in high school. The teacher called us up to the front of the room and told us the lcoker number, so that we could go right then and put our lock on the locker if we so wished. I got my number and walked out the door. The locker was one hallway down, so i had to turn the corner twice. I left the room repeating my locker number over and over so that i wouldn't forget it. Before making the first turn, My mind wandered and i forgot the number. All of 10 feet before i totally lost it. I went back to my class and sat down, not willing to admit that i'd already forgotten the number. I asked the next day and very nearly forgot again, but then remembered who had the locker beside mine, so found it that way.

If you don't know which locker is yours then it's probably empty. So you'd have no reason to lock it.
