also every day there will be a riddle posted by the collective group "THE SCUM" If the collective town can figure out the riddle, the moderator( i.e. ME) will determine whether or not the riddle has been answered, and will give out a clue to the Mafia's identity. these are not exactly give away clues. Mafia hunters still need to do their home work to win.

The Rules: ( stolen maliciously from poker, who stole it from Mgm, who stole it....)

1. Have fun.
2. There are no unusual game mechanics twists - this is a typical day-and-night Mafia game starting in day. (The roles themselves may be somewhat tricky, however.)
3. If you're dead, you're dead. You are only allowed to make posts not based on the game, other than a go town or go mafia post, but that's it.
4. No PM quoting, or communication unless your role allows it.
5. Voting must be in bold in the form of Vote: Talzor. Unvoting must also likewise be in bold: Unvote: Amb Unvoting is not mandatory unless you wish to completely remove your vote from anybody.
6. I hope day deadlines won't have to be established, but if they are, they will be one-week deadlines. Every night has a default five-day deadline. That assumes i make it here in that deadline, if it comes inm after the deadline, and im not here, im counting it.
7. The day will end at a deadline or at the number required to lynch, which will be the first whole number higher than half the number of surviving players (4 for 6, 7 for 13, etc.) If the day ends with the number met, the player lynched will be lynched. If the day ends with a deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched, no execptions. In the event of a tie, there will be no lynch.
8. "No lynch" is permitted in this game.
9. During nights, if you don't have a choice, I request that you send a confirm - just to let me know you're still here.
10. In any disputes not settled here, I have the final say.
11. No editing posts. obviously.

hmm...so, im guessing this is the voice of the killer, or its some dumbass getting angry and mocking us all in a post. I will go towards the former, it seems more like this is either

A. The mod posting riddles that we need to figure out.
B. The scum telling the mod what to post on this other accound
C. The scum instructed to make another account so they can taunt us around.

Livingod: If that is a riddle (which it may or may not be, i am quite confused) then you should know that solving the riddles will give us town some info on the identity of the scum. Which does make me feel that when not knowing a very important piece of info to help out the town, it seems a bit scumish to pretend that you would get nothing for solving the riddle.

Just wow at the riddle, and it does look like the answer is priest, which really makes me uncomfortable.

Are the scum writing these riddles or is the mod? If the scum are, this seems like a setup against me, as I mentioned makes me uncomfortable because my name backwards is priest. I really have nothing else to say, other than the scum are trying to frame me, as I will admit I am nothing but a vanilla townie. I have no powers, but I do want to try and figure out who is setting me up.

How I did: I actually made a grid with one column for each letter. Since there were six letters, there were six columns. For letters 1,2,3, and 5, I used the two-word hints to make a list in the respective columns of the possible letters. Number 4 was easy; the antonym of late is early, so the letter is E. When I had finished composing a grid for the first 5 letters, I noticed that coincidentally the first letters in each column spelled out RRIES. Checking the first column, I found the letter P. Now it was PRIES. Then I checked the clue for the sixth letter and I confirmed that the letter T was not in either word. Thank you, save the applause.

A word for scum: This is GREY LABYRINTH! This is a PUZZLE SITE! You have to get more creative than that...

To be honest, I was as surprised as you were when I saw the answer, as it did bring fear to me that the scum would have my name as the answer. Also, the riddle was very easy, which makes me wonder how much of an advantage we have on this puzzle site, as I can guess that 99% of the time a riddle the scum posts we can figure out, giving us the very useful info.

Tophat: There is a problem though with humor. Sure, it seems like a good idea at first, but in Mafia games where everything is taken seriously, it doesnt fit in. It all sounds scummy to me. Also, it really seems as if you were a scum playing off your setup, not saying the answer(because it would give away a part of who you are) and using that to set me up.
