No sh*t. We're the only two who could possibly be scum. It's not you, LG, and it's not DukeBanks (who's off-site, and couldn't make the mafia kill). So I'll vote for Tseirp, (in fact, why wait!? Vote Tseirp) he'll vote for me, and LG and DB (or DB's replacement) will have to figure it out. Of course it'll really help if we can get a new riddle, which will hopefull give us a new clue.

Even though Dukebanks is inactive, i may or may not have rolled for a random kill and/or made up a riddle for his inactivity, and to keep this game moving on as this is such a small game. I can neither confirm nor deny that this is the case, but i will post the riddle in a moment.

Nine letters from hell, nine options in which remember this time. Nine options stretched across the pair of words.

Start with the name of a country big in the news, its 6th letter with the noninclusion of spaces.
Follow that letter with the third letter in the smallest pyramid of Giza (unless you take that literally)
With that the third and fourth are just a brain's jump away (a small price to pay for this information wanting you may).
Or go the route of pain, a common exclamation at ones displeasure is nothing but the second half of your first answer

The rest of the letters, in order, are a part of their own term, but those who are good with a language can easily combine the first half with this rest.
Walking this is a dangerous path, one that is ironic because the scum are doing so now.
Just remember that we are the key.
There is no point in going word by word, but remember the key and the rest.
Once the key leads to the door, why not use the second half most possible possibility as your guide.
After 1999, three words and then the second answer to this riddle will be there in plain sight. Use this to figure out your clue to bring the scum blues.

hmm...well, we are 99% sure abotu the pyramid part, and any country could really fit in the first letter. But knowledge does make total sense with North Korea (k is 6th letter), and the fact that walking on a ledge is dangerous (sometimes), and it makes sense because of the two words "know" and "ledge". However, I still dont understand the rest of the part after the path, is the key there to throw us off, and what does it have to do with 1999?

Hey all, here I am.
I agree that either TopHat or Tseirp are the one we're looking for. I'm going to have to reread them a couple of times to see if one looks more scummy than the other; I'm leaning towards Tseirp (besides the points TopHat made, there's the fact that his major contribution to us solving the puzzle has been suggesting that the key is "there to throw us off;" could be confusion, could be an attempt to make us ignore something the puzzle repeatedly tells us to remember).
In the meantime, there's the riddle. Knowledge is almost certainly the "nine letters" being refered to; know fits the clues at the start, ledge fits the "Walking this is a dangerous path."
I don't think "twenty-first century" is the answer to the next part (or, if it is, the puzzle maker screwed up); the twenty-first century didn't start until 2001.

Things I've thought about:
It repeats that "we are the key." The we could be refering to the 9 letters of knowledge, or it may be literal and the word "we" may be important somehow.
The word ledge may also be significant on its own- "combine the first half with this rest," "remember the key and the rest," "why not use the second half most possible possibility as your guide." Not sure what "most possible possibility" is supposed to mean; likeliest possibility?
I also don't know what "After 1999, three words" should mean. The only three words I immediately associate with knowledge is "knowledge is power," and that doesn't tie into 1999 in a way I can see right away. I'll need to think on this more; we may end up needing more traditional scum hunting if we can't finish the riddle, and 4 pages doesn't give us much to go on.

I haven't been able to make much progress beyond what I posted in my initial post. I see they say that the key (knowledge, we think) is supposed to lead us to a door, so maybe we need to look at things knowledge is supposed to lead us to. Of course, even then we'd have to figure out how to use the "second half most possible possibility" as our guide and how that ties into the three words after 1999...
TopHat and Tseirp, any more thoughts?
