The best gift I have ever given to an ex-girlfriend was a pair of doves. Disgusting creatures, really; they coo constantly for about 30 years.

Unfortunately, she found someone to take them off her hands last week.

There are several posts in here that I may question the "worthiness" of, but I'm not going to call anybody out about it.

So you can just go piss off, Mackay.

Grammar matters.

It's now February, so my Harry Potter calendar is now open to an image of Emma Watson's Hermione Granger. Also, I have a snow day. It's going to be a pretty good month, I think.

I can only hope that this gets pushed a little bit further so that someone can take a case before the SCotUS (maybe freedom of expression?) and get a legally-inspired overhaul of the concept of a US Patent.

Agreed. An overhaul is definitely needed, as opposed to throwing the baby out with the bathwater as Borodog advocates.

Should anyone be buying the book World Champions, I would like to point out that Save the Manatee Club is a charity you can vote for to receive a portion of the proceeds from the book. It's just one of several good charities listed, though.

Also, you can vote for a charity without buying the book. This requires an e-mail address, though, and I don't know if they'll send you e-mails or not.
