Around the world, ordinary people are discovering they have extraordinary abilities. An organization has formed to capture those people, and you’re on their list of targets. You’ve come together to eliminate the threat.
This is a prequel to a 20-player mafia I've designed. See the signup thread for details: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=11902
Living Players (7/12):
1. Projectyl
4. CzarJ
5. MNOWAX (replacing Nauplius) (replacing now a ranger)
6. theopholis
7. Courk
8. lexprod
12. Undercover Monk
Eliminated Players (5/12):
9. Poisonium (replacing Sniklac16), Thompson, Godfather of the PrimaTech mafia, is lynched day 1.
3. Cephrir, Ted Sprague, vanilla townie, is abducted night one.
2. Amb, the Haitian, Roleblocker of the PrimaTech Mafia, is lynched day two.
10. CrashTextDummie, Matt Parkman, sane cop, is abducted night two.
11. Livingod, HRG, goon, is forked night two.
Game status:
Game over! Go to http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?p=419188#419188 for results. _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124

Rules (as stolen and altered from various games):
1. First and foremost, this is a game. Have fun, be considerate, and don’t get personal.
2. Votes must be in bold. Unvoting when you change your vote is appreciated but not required. No Lynch is an acceptable vote.
3. Questions or requests for the mod may be asked in thread or PMed directly to me. If you ask in thread, please bold the question to make sure I don’t skim over it.
4. I may implement deadlines if discussion lags. At a deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched; in the case of a tie, only one of the tied players, based on which one of them had more votes than the other(s) most recently, will be lynched.
5. You may not communicate outside the thread unless your role allows it.
6. After death, players are only allowed one "bah" post. Once a player is lynched, the game enters twilight until I post a death scene; the lynched player may not post during twilight but all other living players may.
7. This game will start during the day, but those who communicate at night may do so from the time they receive their PMs until 24 hours after the game officially starts.
The townie win condition is:
You win when the abductors have been eliminated.
Please confirm in thread once you receive your PMs. I will start the game once everyone has confirmed. _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124 |

We have everyone but Undercover Monk and now a ranger confirmed; I checked MafiaScum yesterday and saw that ranger has said he would be unavailable until tomorrow, so I'll give both of them until tomorrow evening to check in before I start looking for others to fill their spots. Thanks for your patience. _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124 |

Does Undercover Monk have a mafiascum account? (Undercover Monk isn't on the member list, nor is Monk, so it'd have to be a different name). _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124 |

If that's the case, I'm not going to hold off on starting the game until his arrival. I'll still give him until tomorrow before I attempt to find a replacement, but the game is officially open. Those who can communicate at night have 24 more hours to do so.
It is day one.
There are 12 alive, so it takes 7 to lynch.

Vote: Courk, for some reason.
Mild FOS: Amb for voting a presumably out-of-action player. I'd always heard it was better to go ahead and let people like UM get replaced; at least the replacement can offer a defense and/or drop tells, so you have some idea of who you're lynching. (It'd even better if UM actually showed up, of course, but I've looked at his other posts, and I'm not holding my breath.) _________________ "I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do with a lifetime supply of chocolate..." |

| Day 1 usually results in a random lynch of a player who actually wants to play. Most often that person is also town. So why not vote off the deadweight. There is as much odds of UM being scum as anyone else, and it would save us and the mod time. Its only disadvantage will be that he can't claim. |

You're right--that does seem to be the only disadvantage, but I'm not sure I buy what you claim to be the advantage. A quick Day 1 kill of someone who can't defend themself, if anything, makes it more likely to lynch an innocent, because we have nothing else to go on. Luckily, you've jumped in and not made sense, making this much easier on everyone.

THere isnt any point in having deadweight players, and if they happen to be scum even better. That said, the player is no longer deadweight.
Also its a poor vote (as in not pro town behaviou) when you vote someone because of your own inability to understand... |
