| Oh, also I think it's a good idea to set a night deadline and stick to it, no matter how early choices are in. This allows everyone time to change their choices if they wish, since they know for sure what time day will dawn. Also, it eliminates any possibility of someone possibly being able to reason "Well, the mod was posting at XXX time, but didn't update the game, yet two hours later he started day. I wonder if he got his last choice in then. Not many people are on at that time, I better keep an eye on player so-and-so." |

You have a pretty good point about the timing thing, so I may stick to that in the future. In this case, however, Projectyl sent me an explaination of why he was killing Livingod with the kill (another failed attempt would prove Livingod's claim and give the town an unkillable innocent; a success would off the last scum), so I knew he wasn't changing it. I only waited for Livingod's kill on the off chance that he would target Projectyl and fulfill lexprod's win condition, but I doubt Livingod was going to change from the cop either.
I generally like nights to be over with as soon as possible so that games can continue more quickly, but I probably will stick to a set deadline in the future.
I was wondering why you were actively trying to draw suspicion to yourself; were you trying to get people to vote you so you could justify claiming or what? _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124 |

I'm really really glad you would've let me bow out if we lynched Sylar, as that does make sense. I didn't realize how important finding Sylar fast would be and for that I get the title of only living loser! Yay! I can see how I needed to play a lot harder and get in people's faces to get a read on everyone, then convince the town to go my way.

At first I was just really busy and behind on the game. When I had time to catch up, I had expected someone to say something like "Courk's lurking, she usually doesn't do that," but no one did. That amused me. On top of that, I had misinterpreted my win condition. I thought I won if I made it to the end of the game, regardless of whether it was a town or mafia win. Since no one was finding my unusual behavior suspicious, I decided it might be a good way to make it to the end of the game. The town seemed uninterested in me, and I didn't think I seemed threatening to the mafia. When I still wasn't found suspicious, I got a little mischievous. I figured it would only be a matter of time before someone did truly get suspicious of me, and they would have a fairly good argument. If I pointed out everything first, though, I wouldn't have to defend against someone else bringing up those points. Plus it adds confusion. What kind of scum points out their own suspicious activity?
When I pointed out that I hadn't been poked and found it interesting, I thought that since you had received a PM from me over night, you knew me to be active. I thus thought that those who had been poked did not send in a night choice.

I think I'm usually pretty vocal and up-to-date with the game, not perpetually behind and needing poked like I was in this one. Also, I tend not to point out my own suspicious activity. |

I actually hadn't been checking PMs for that (the one acception being someone I poked who acknowledged the poke via PM but didn't post in thread for a few days after). I was just periodically checking the thread for anyone who hadn't posted in over a week. _________________ Heroes Mafia Mega signups in progress: http://www.greylabyrinth.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=12124 |

| Normally with pokings I assume that PMs are ignored and the mod is going by posts in the thread, but since I wasn't poked, I figured there had to be a reason, and all I could think of was that you had received my night PM. |

You were still a safe target if you were telling the truth, and with the roleblocker dead, the odds of me successfully taking you down if you were lying were even better. _________________ "I am now telling the computer exactly what it can do with a lifetime supply of chocolate..." |

| He gets bandwaggoned and lynched day 1/killed night 1 in nearly every game. That's what happened to me after I won a game as a serial killer. I had to actually take a 3-6 month break from mafia because of it. |

I dont know, Livingod was calling the shots
Although had I not been poorly lynched (why lynch your most active and clearly town member) I would have had Undercover Monk killed while I blocked the cop. |

My first game as a real mafia group (I have been scum before but that was a very unbalanced 3 player group that didn't knew each other and only 1 of them could nigthkill)
Which my play explains...
Well, none of us actually played good, and if we had managed to win it would be unfair.
I liked the alternate win conditions. I liked the amount of vanillas. I didn't like my play.
Interesting Survivor. Actually I like Survivors better when they're opportunists of sorts, that can win with any fraction, but bah.
A interesting setup I believe. Congrats to lexprod for being alive losing. |
