A good suggestion, but not likely to be implemented in the near future. Chatrooms place a heavy load on the server, and our host isn't very keen on them.

I'm not inclined to change hosts soon since, they give very good rates for the Grey Labyrinth's heavy traffic.

there are countless servers that allow you to have a website free of charge, although I have no idea whether they would be free of charge with very large amounts of traffic. If you value my opinion (i'm still hoping), I'd suggest www.freeservers.com . We could register something like glchat.iwarp.com. I believe that you can get 20 megs free. I don't know much about chatrooms, but I believe that that's probably enough, but if it's not, there are definitely others out there that offer much more. you can get 100 megs free at www.netcolony.com , www.eSmartStart.com , and www.fortunecity.com . These are the largest I've found so far, but I only searched for about 10 minutes. Despite the fact that you'll probably never use this as long as you live, you're welcome

I could have my webhost set up an IRC channel and an IRC box for GL, to make it easier for people without AOL.

You don't need AOL, you can download AIM without having AOL. Trillian also works.

The current Nerdware button leads to the wrong page. It should go to http://www.cafepress.com/greylab, not http://cafeshops.com/greylab as it does at the moment.
