Where are the scum getting these puzzles? These are too complex for either Livingod. I don't know, but I don't think this is something TDP would come up with.

MNOWAX, are/were the scum allowed outside help in construction? This puzzle looks very very similar to a Cruciverbalist one I saw a couple of years back. |

Your text-image doesnt map right. I checked out the "TpN" = "Town" idea, and discovered it actually says "town" (mixed case corrected) |

I think "take" seems right for the ????. The letters that were changed give "ideaoteoion" which isn't much help, neither are the letters that were changed from the original line. hmmm |

| Oh, nearly the same post there! Looks like I made a couple of errors transcribing the symbols first time. Have another look at the pyramid and check my second symbol map is more accurate, please. I could have made some more errors. (I hadn't realised there were mirrors of some of the symbols before, and p is just a like o, only bolder). |

I cant really say anything cause every time I think or something, It's already been done. I think where making progress(no thanks to me I know) and I think we'll have it figured out soon. Also just like amb said, If i dont make it, lynch The Dragon's Princess.

I haven't time to go back and quote posts and things right now, which is one reason why I didn't want to say too much before. I'd like to formulate my thoughts while reviewing the posts to give a proper evaluation, but in a nutshell:
Amb got extremely upset that the first puzzle was "spoilt" by someone posting from the scum account, although he was unaware at the time that Dutters the Sage had made that happen. He said something like I don't wan't to waste my time [trying to solve the puzzles] if the effort is going to be wasted but I read into that, that he was upset at his effort in making the puzzle being wasted by a "rogue scum spoiling the game".
He also has asked about the source of the puzzles - suggesting that the players we've got playing right now are not likely to be prepared/capable of producing a puzzle of the type and standard we've seen this game. Did they get outside help? I think this is a distancing ruse - I know Amb hasn't made every single one of the Survivor puzzles, but he's quite good at puzzle construction, you know.
At the time it happened (and it was edited before I saw what was actually alleged in the post, so I can only surmise) I didn't understand the significance, but there was a post in the Survivor thread that Amb deleted because it purported to be by Amb, but it was posted using the scum account. Amb says he complained to MNOWAX about it - that there must be a rogue scum spoiling things, but that's actually too bizarre to believe. I think the simple explanation to that is that Amb was logged in as the scum account, but forgot to log out and change to his own account when making a post in the Survivor thread. The rest is nothing more than bluster to try and cover up the giveaway.
The help Amb gave on the last puzzle is possibly another ruse - the main crux of the puzzle had been done, and he must have known it was only a small matter of time until the puzzle fell completely, so I think he was only "joining in" so as to appear pro-town.
That's my feeling from having read, but still need to re-read with my eyes open to other factors following the hint - one of the scum does not have an A - so that neither rules him in or out. |

In a part of your argument after this one, you try to push for the 'simplest' argument available. Yet here, you clearly don't take the simplest. You take the line of thought that leads you to your current conclusion. The simplest explanation is "I was angry that I had tried to solve the puzzle". Notice the wording of the give away post. It sounds like scum giving it away. I certainly was going to quit over that. Now, if that isn't enough, if as scum, I thought a fellow scum gave it away - I would suspect a traitor and turn my angst inward not outward. Outward would simply be a bad play and would cause massive problems for any replacement.

And the PMs we have been recieving from the scum account aren't bizzare? Look at how Dutters2 jumped on Pete D immediately because of something he recieved (Which of course might be fictitious, but thats another unrelated argument).
Finally - All you have to do to verify me is lynch Livingod! I got him as guilty remember. If he is town, then you can lynch me up tomorrow, and I won't bother resisting!

If you hadn't said this, then I'd have probably felt that your arguments were sufficiently doubt-inspiring to have retracted, at least until I had chance to do my re-reread, like I said I wanted.
That comment smacks so much of "not me, John, look over there" that I think you're on the defensive just so much, you're looking to distract and not even really offered any defence for "mistaken posting" in the Survivor thread. Plus I think if you were disgruntled at scum buddies giving away your hard-worked-out puzzle, you would definitely be walking out, not turning "angst inwards". |

| that may seem like a likely scum pair but with the second clue we received from mod, its extremely unlikely if not impossible. we received the clue that one of the four players that were prodded were part of the mafia team, which would make either livinggod(which amb has already used her cop ability to find out he is scum), sniklac, the player that was replaced by dutters or the player that you replaced. if they were both scum that would mean there were a total of four scum in this game and while this game is without a doubt different, i doubt that is the case. so now I believe there are either 2 scenarios in this game. either a) amb truly is a cop and livinggod is one of the 2 remaining scum or b) amb is really scum faking a cop claim to try and get a townie lynched. for now I choose to believe that amb's cop claim is legit and keep my vote on livinggod |

First off, the clues are all clearly posted on the first page too, so we don't need to go hunting for them. We did not receive the clue that one of the four players that were prodded were part of the mafia team. One of those prodded has access to the scum account - and we know from the first clue that scum are not the only ones who have access to the account.
Second, we know for a fact that there are two living scum. One of the scum does not have an A in the name. That means there is one scum in the set Sniklac16, thedragon'sprincess, Amb and one scum in the set Livingod, Dutters, Dented Ford and pete d. Livingod's last post anywhere on the GL was 3rd September. Sniklac's last post anywhere on the GL was 31st August. If you're suggesting that Amb is not scum, and that the cop claim about Livingod is legit, and presumably not volunteering yourself as the other scum candidate, then you're saying Sniklac16 is the remaining scum. That would have us believe that since 21st September when Undercover Monk when the night fell in which UM was killed, that our game has been running with only Livingod and Sniklac16 as scum crew? This is just not possible. So unless you're going to admit that you are scum, it has to be Amb as guilty as hell. That means his case against Livingod is non-existent, and the other scum partner is likely to be pete d, on account of his support for the "good call" on "investigating" (yeah, right) LG. |

This is a faulty premise. One of the scum does not have an A in their name. This says absolutely nothing about the other scum. The other scum might not have an A either.
Anyways, all you have to do is kill Livingod, and if I am wrong you string me up. |
