There are a few other sites that aren't working too well. One mentioned just a few days ago that they were having issues with their speed, and others are sites I've not been to. Yet other sites I'm new to work fine.
I have a cable modem. Is it at all possible that the cable company could be working on lines somewhere and that that's affecting access to some sites? |

| Now everything seems to be working just peachily. I wonder what that was all about. |

| I used to get problems like this while I was living in Vancouver last year. As best I could determine, my ISP (ADSL from 'Telus') was doing something funky with packet filtering algorithms that would de-prioritize certain URLs, thus making them very slow to load... if they didn't time out. That's no more than poorly-informed speculation, of course. |

| Everything's been peachy today, except for the fact I had to reset my router earlier. I think that's the first time I've had to do that with the new one. I'm going with my uneducated assumption and will blame the cable company. |

A refresh fixed the problem in most cases.

Not sure where "too many" connections are coming from.

Just testing.
I wanted to make sure everything was working because there were no posts since my last visit.
Last post was Wed Jun 04, 2008 11:45 am, almost 4 hours ago.

Is this accurate?
If so, we are getting close to the half-million. |

At this current rate that could take us a while. |
