he Rules: ( stolen maliciously from poker, who stole it from Mgm, who stole it....)
1. Have fun.
2. There are no unusual game mechanics twists - this is a typical day-and-night Mafia game starting in day.
3. If you're dead, you're dead. You are only allowed to make posts not based on the game, other than a go town or go mafia post, but that's it.
4. No PM communication unless your role allows it.
5. Voting must be in bold in the form of Vote: Talzor. Unvoting must also likewise be in bold: Unvote: Amb Unvoting is not mandatory unless you wish to completely remove your vote from anybody.
6. I hope day deadlines won't have to be established, but if they are, they will be one-week deadlines. Every night has a default three-day deadline. That assumes i make it here in that deadline, if it comes in after the deadline, and I'm not here, I'm counting it.
7. The day will end at a deadline or at the number required to lynch, which will be the first whole number higher than half the number of surviving players (4 for 6, 7 for 13, etc.) If the day ends with the number met, the player lynched will be lynched. If the day ends with a deadline, the player with the most votes will be lynched, no exceptions. In the event of a tie, there will be no lynch.
8. "No lynch" is permitted in this game.
9. During nights, if you don't have a choice, I request that you send a confirm - just to let me know you're still here.
10. In any disputes not settled here, I have the final say.
11. No editing posts. obviously.
12: I didn't think that I had to put this in, Don't quote the Mod's PM!
THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! There is ONE replacement. In lieu of replacnig people, after that one replacement has been utilized, I WILL be MODKILLING ALL INACTIVES FOR MORE THAN ONE WEEK AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PRODDED! If you have a problem, please PM me or Email me or something. Just try not to abandon us! If there is a modkill, the day immediately goes into Night as if there were a lynch, and a death scene will be posted.. _________________ The Man The Myth The Legend

| If you edit a post with a die roll box inside, the die roll box says fixed. That's a modkill worthy offense. |

I think he was saying that you're player #12, so if the dice roll had come up 12, you'd have to vote for yourself.
And what's up with fixing a random dice roll? That makes no sense to me. |

It's more to go on than my previous completely uninformed vote, and I don't really like wolfcrier's last post which lacked any sort of explanation for the post edit. Why fix a random dice roll? |

| oh well yeah I would of voted myself, but whenever you edit a post it shows the diceroll as "fixed". I edited to post to write who I was voting for not realizing that the rules clearly stated don't edit. So I'm sorry for that and I deserve to be lynched for not reading the rules. |

My problem is I can't tell how many times that post was edited.
For all I know it could have been edited until .. the 8 or whatever you were looking (or weren't looking for) for came up on the die.
I also don't like the fact that you created another thread for stuff that you should be saying in game.
However, the second thread seems sincere.
So, at the risk of seeming wishy-washy.

| No, when editing a post with a dice roll, the number on the dice doesn't change. That's why it says "fixed." |

I just read the other thread.
I think we're making too big of a deal out of this. Yes, it's explicitly stated that editing is prohibited, but in this situation the dice roll saying fixed seems to indicate that it was present in the original post before it was edited, which makes it likely that the only change made was the addition of a vote. It doesn't list an "edited by" which, IIRC, indicates he did not change the post after jadesmar's post only 12 minutes after the post was originally made.
We're talking about a relatively small window of time in which the only change is apparently the addition of a vote. Throwing in my two cents, I don't think that's mod kill worthy. Warning worthy, definitely, but I don't think we need a modkill halfway through page 1. |

I agree with the above, but wolfcrier, it would've been easier if you'd just explained yourself in the thread instead of leaving people wondering what happened. Explanations go a long way. |

| You're right. If you edit out the dice roll then edit it back in, the number changes, but then it doesn't say "fixed." If he really wanted to vote for bobyjackson and wanted to fix a dice roll to make it only look random, the dice roll wouldn't say fixed (I'm assuming he wouldn't have gone back to edit if he got #8 and had the vote in place -- there'd be no need to edit at that point) (I'm also assuming that he would have already had his vote in place in the text and would have just kept changing the dice tag until he got #8). |

Are you kidding I am very impressed with him coming out in a thread and explaining himself. The game thread shouldn't be bogged down by this crap.
I was a newb once to and made really stupid mistakes still make some occasionally. His wasn't game-changing so just drop it I hope you don't quit playing mafia because of this.
Now back to the game

Especially now that the thread there is talking about spam...spam and eggs, spam, spam, bacon, and eggs.....spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam....
...sorry.
BTW, wolfcrier is now self-voting in the other mafia game. I *think* I'm willing to chalk all of this up to an unfamiliarity with the process, since his play in both games has been kind of weird. Either that, or he managed to pull scum in both games. |

This seems patronizing and possibly antagonistic.
I stand by the fact that this game should certainly be bogged down by people explaining their actions. And, as soon as I could tell the difference between suspicious action and a newb mistake, you will note that I removed my vote.
