Between school, homework, the internet, acting occasionally for this community theatre I work with, I have great ideas for books, and am currently working on one, but I've only got a page or so done.

Basically, for those who can't wait for it to possibly be a book Laughing, here is a little bit of the plotline...
Dog has mind of his own, feels rejected by owner after her getting a husband and child, goes off onto his own adventures in search of a new owner, but sort of learns some of life's great truths

I have all of the plotline mapped out, and I feel a the very structure can be fleshed out, if I was given some motivation to get some writing done a little bit at a time.

Any chicken soup for the soul? Any ideas on how I can make time, without completely secluding myself?

Only somewhat flippant response: spend less time on the internet.

Neutral

Waah? I take breaks now and then, the internet has nothing to do with it, i'm just havng early writer's block, strangely.

Even if I did push away the GL, my mind would be frozen on the page.

This doesn't sound like a request for ideas on getting past writer's block. It sounds like a request for ideas on how to free up time. Of the things you listed, I would recommend scaling back on the internet time. (I sincerely hope that spending less time on the internet would not be completely secluding yourself)

eta2: I'm not trying to be a douche about this. Sorry if seems like I'm saying "git outta the GL, loser." That's not the intent.

RSA's right, TGC.

the internet is your enemy when it comes to writing. while you may occasionally have to do homework on your computer, i doubt it's much of a distraction when you feel a block. and besides you should do your homework. and dealing with people irl via theatre is too worthwhile to put aside.

but the internet.is.always.there.

on your computer, anyway. when you're writing and you feel stuck, it's just so easy to go on the web and kill away your time.

when i had to write up for grad school, i often ran into writer's block. like you, i had a pretty good idea of what the story was. the blocks were all about how i phrased the particulars. as it became more of a time crunch, i realized it's better to write something down even if you're not completely happy with it and move on. you can pretty it up later.

oh, and the internet.was.always.there.

Drop the homework - you'll catch up at university.

Put yourself on a mission. Write a page a day. Start by reviewing and editing the previous day's page. It's only a few minutes work and as you see progress inspiration may come. The internet will wait.
This sounds like a childrens book (10-14?). It can help to define your target audience. 160 pages should be enough. That's less than six months!

Sarcasm? I hope not... I'm doing so, although I'm actually in front.

Write short stories, instead. If you can finish a story before it is lost to your attention span, you will have a sense of completion (and a finished product). Novels are too long to write as a hobby, unless you're carefully partioning your time. I used to write sci-fi in grad school.

Here in the US...
A college degree doesn't matter too much if you have experience.
Everything about high school doesn't matter if you get a degree.
Nothing in middle school mattered. Except nap time. Which we didn't have. :-(
Everything actually learned came in kindergarden.

So skipping homework before college should be encouraged if you still pass.
