Due to this, I don't expect many helpful comments to make their way in here:

Alright, sorry about that, got 'em a little after an older cat died last summer.

What can I say? Fairly sturdy, one's an orange tabby, and I'm not sure what the other breed is. Been feeding them milk, good or no good?

For some reason, I read that second line as "...tricks o' the kitten catering trade" and was all set with some tasty starter recipes when I realised my mistake.

Actually, most cats are lactose intolerant. A little bit of milk is okay now and then as long as they don't get diarrhea or anything. Water is generally better; or, if they seem to like the taste of milk, most pet stores carry "cat milk" which is okay for them to drink.

That being said, how can you post a thread saying you got new kittens and NOT post pictures?! I demand kitty pics! Felicitous

Bah. You need a dog.

Name the cat Pavlov, and the dog Schrodinger.

And voila! You can talk at length about the antics of Schrodinger's Cat and Pavlov's dog.

I will learn how to post pictures online, posthaste!
Enthusiastic Grin

But, they're kinda mucusy, seeing as how they might be a bit under the weather, but I'll try to get some decent pics in this thread, and thanks for the advice.

Also "Catsumo", I smell lower title.

Shocked

Ugh, just show me a picture of a fried up guinea pig and you've got Crep'er brand TGC Puke.

How could anyone eat something adorable? Melancholy

Actually, I am a cat person, and am also anxiously awaiting pictures...
(Not allowed to have cats in my current flat Melancholy so need to live vicariously through others.)

It was just the bizarreness of my word-pattern-recognition in that particular case that tickled me.

I'm more of a dog person so our cats get the creative names of
"the fluffy one"
"the old one"
"the new tabby one"
"the black and orange one"

I have two cats.
Official names: Brutus (a play on brute, since he was a rescue cat who used to live behind a bar), Smoke (he has a beautiful smoky gray coat).
Actual names used: (former) Old Man, Crazy Cat, Big Fatty
(later) Stinky, Pretty Boy.

Orange cat: Punkin.
Black cat: Shadow, Silhouette, Pepper, Felix

Twist-ties and the bit of plastic off a bottle cap and crumpled bits of foil all make great "mice" for kitties to chase

quite possibly the most amazing thing i've ever heard...most definitely the best thing i've hear today...

and i might actually have to remember that if i'm ever tricked into owning a cat...for now, i'll stick with dogs.

You must be phsycic, we just named one of the cats Oliver, the orange one, not the black one though. Shocked

Black one still yet to be permanently named, it's gone from name to name, to Eddie, Black Moon (no he did not stick his tail at us Cannibal), Set, Osiris, and currently Boo.

It's two people naming the cat so it's hard to come to an agreement, though I liked the name Eddie.
