umm... depending on which one it is...

I used to have a calc like that. It was solid colors, but I found it easier to get the bottom row in first, then the second to last, etc. It hasn't seemed to work on the ones that have pics yet... but I also have no will power

If it was randomly laid out there may not be a solution.

take them out, and put them back in.

Note: this trick works great for rubiks cubes as well.

i do that for rubiks cubes, but only for the last row...

slidey puzzles are slightly easier... or maybe i've just had more practice (does anybody remember the game "heaven and earth"?)

hehe I was kidding about the slidey puzzle.

I've only taken a cube apart once. I, like you, can get those bottom two rows FAST, but that top one is a beast. I usually go to an online bot that maps it out for me.

hehe...

well, i have three choices... find the sheet with the solutions, get a dinner knife, or look it up online. if i'm messing with the cube, i'm not online. now... i know where a knife is, but i don't know where the little booklet is ;p

There's some method for doing it in less than 70 moves or something, no matter how it started. It's too confusing for me though.

Step 1: Peel off stickers.
Step 2: Put stickers back on.

Do I get to go in Guiness now?

Dip the whole cube in a bucket of paint. 5 seconds, tops.

Yeah, I agree. I wish I could figure out my mini-cube. I got it for 45 tickets at a ticket arcade. I got annoyed at it, so i threw it against a wall, and reconstructed it so it looked solved. (this turned out to be far more fun than pretending I could solve it w/o cheating)

mith ... i'm a 35 yo puzzle-holic.

I bartend a couple nights a week, and on Monday nite brought in my cube. I was making people give me a buck if I could solve it in under 3 minutes. I usually did it under two minutes. I made a killing!

Hey it was a slow nite!

52 moves is the maximum movews for any position, according to my book. I still can't solve that [CzarJ edited] thing, even with a solution book.
