[The Great Crep'er]

I probably won't be around on the forums as much as I am about a good deal through with the summer. (At least after Culinary Mafia ends, then its time for me to skeedaddle.)

I will however, be back around October, and I had a great idea for a mafia theme, and I think it could work out pretty well.

This game will be based around the many games we have had in the past, significant games, that have taken place currently, over this year, and the span of the last 2-3 years. The theme, the day scenes, the night scenes, will be a mixture of it all, you could go from pirates, sailing across the carribean sea, to plastic squares known as 'keys', located on a remote computer keyboard, to members of the supreme war council of France, to people known as 'Heroes' with supernatural powers, to being christmas themed characters, currently celebrating the holiday, to intern chefs, to characters of a comic strip, to animated character os the simpsons, to small pieces of wrapped and unwrapped chocolates, to Manatees living amongst the sea, to a game where you get hints on who the mafia is, to a game where there are a limited amount of people, to a village infested with wolves, to a cool soccer theme, to many versions of Homer Simpson, etc, etc.

Anyone who signs up and plays, will be given a role, a character to go along with that role, chosen from a random game from the not so distant past. (Warning: I may bend that rule a bit for purposes of me wanting to make the game interesting.) Always keep in mind, that the role will somehow be coordinated with its character, even if its by the tiniest relevance, it still counts as a relevance, so watch out.

The game will have a bit of a flavor of a 'la Crep'er, so expect a few twists along the way, remember, nothing is as it seems.

Other than that, it is a normal day and night routine mafia game, but do expect some of the flavors of other games that were just run, to possibly come about. (there may be a puzzle to solve, who knows!!! )

Signups begin, I am still working out a few kinks, but expect the signups to end about October 10th, 2008 10:00 PM EST

So, only sign up if you feel you will be available around those times, and please withdraw if you can't be free to post at least once a week. (I'm being lenient here ) Remember, once you do signup, you may need to fill some time, so build model airplanes, read War and Peace, rob a convenience store, do the jail time, and when you're bailed out, come back here to start the game with us, this game won't start for a while, so keep busy until it does.

A few requirements:
1. Since I already have been let down enough times, there is no more patience with this group, NO ICARIAN MEMBERS MAY SIGN UP FOR THIS GAME. Period.
2. Once the game begins, every player will be required to fill a 'three post quota' in each and every day round. This means, you will be required to make posts in the game, no less than three, by all means, make more than that, make a ton more than that when you can (spammariffic posts will not count - with the exception of random vote posts) but no less than three. If you cannot at least fill the quota, you will be up for replacement, and if you do not fill your quota by the time a replacement shows up, you will be replaced.
3. If you have schedule conflictions, small ones, please post them in bold, so we know that you cannot be here at the time and are not wondering where you are.
4. Have fun when playing this game!

Filled with Napoleon, drummer boys, talking scum, and some absolute 'flava' that is to die for, this is the mafia event of the season, you won't want to miss it. So, sign up, now!

Update on the game construction:
I have currently put all games that I have deemed recent, from a certain page range in the mafia games section, through a selection process, an audition, where I take one element from it or one character and put it to the callbacks, where each selected will compete for a spot in the game setup.

Popped in for just a quick bit to check up on this.

-GC you are far from Icarian in my eyes, the only reason I put that 'Daedalians only' rule is to at least have some small glimmer of hope that they will commit to this. (As it seemed they committed to the forum.)

It's just based on number of posts as far as I can tell. Writing spam posts would make you unpopular, but if you sign up for something else and get involved you might even have enough posts by Oct. 10th.

Hey guys, was able to slip away to the forum for a few mins. A game update.

Some notes:

-Welcome to the game Wall-E and Irgy!
-I have decided to be a bit lenient for the 'No Icarians rule', for those who show the dedication to not wander off and forget it, which is the main reason I have decided to accept jayfin3 and Mrs. Lovett. (Mrs. Lovett via her vouch from a regular member of the forum, MNOWAX, and jayfin3 via his post which I deemed to be 'attention to the game'.)
-Green Crayons, feel free to think it over, just know that you are welcome to join if you like.
-Thanks for signing up raekuul, but just know that this does not ensure you two spots in the game.
-Propaganda for the game may be going out in a few days, you have been warned. lol.
