First things first: please accept my apologies. When I said "a nice opportunity for a townie to improve his mafia skills", I really meant "his or her skills". I hope you will not derive from my wording any idea that I might be chauvinistic.

And now, Ms Lovett - a word of warning. The three players sitting on DP's bandwagon could be anything from three townies to three scums. Unless you are mafia yourself, and I truly hope that are not, then you know probably close to nothing about HPew, MNOWAX, or me.

I would also point out the fact that both HPew and MNOWAX have been very vocal in criticizing the way I have bullied, (or was it forced?) them to jump onto this wagon.

And finally, I would like to say that this bandwagon is still targeted at a guy who claims cop, and that I do not know you. Why should I trust you, mysterious Ms. Lovett? And what is "a really good chance of catching scum" next to the risk of, say, lynching a cop? Give me your reasons.

Yay. We now have two cop claims. That's... not good.

Both true: mafia hits cops for the next two nights. A mislynch today puts us at hit or lose. But we have information. We should plan our investigation strategy: have both cops investigate one, or each investigate differently and go from there? The second would seem to give more information, but leaves us vulnerable to bluffs.

One true, one false: worst case scenario. One dies, the other gets a free pass to say whatever they want. This is why I'd lean more towards all cops investigating the same target - if this is the scenario we are in, a 'scum' find might be chased away by the final claim of a cop.

Both false: beware the mindgame. There will be no cop kill at night, but the scum could fake this scenario by not killing a claimed cop tonight. If this happens, I'd hope that the real cops claim tomorrow, but this is starting to look like a lot of mindgames at this point.

*sigh* This one is going to be tricky.

Given that we have two cop claims, no lynch, while mathematically better, doesn't seem like the right play in this case. Let's hope we're hitting scum when I vote: Leonidas

Before we kill Leo, let's let him have some last words and discuss what our cop investigation strategy is. I'm currently thinking the double up on one is best, just so that we're guaranteed information, but that's just me - I could be thinking about this incorrectly.

as for the cop claims, if they are both false, then easily both say X is innocent and we would be at the same predicament. I think they should continue with dp hitting hpew and Azu hitting a random person of his choice. If two scum claimed cop, best of luck to them. especially since both cops would be undercover. The only possibility that i see is we might have a GF, and DP is a GF scum and Azu investigated him and cleared him, but GF may not be as vanilla ( even though i may consider it so) so i dunno. I think that they are both real.

It is very strange to see the damage that three scums can do on people's understanding.

UM betrayed himself as scum, 100%. Why? He asked the cop to investigate DP tonight, which is a clear anti-town move. If you do not understand why, then it is very sad. Please think. And look at Ms Lovett's post.

Therefore, DP lied. So DP is also scum 100%. And since UM tried to get the cops to clear him, he's probably the GF.

The only subtlety is AZu. AZu could be a cop who found DP innocent. But two things:
1) He helped DP on Day 1. i.e. before night investigations...
2) He is not a cop. Ditchdoc and MNOWAX are the two cops on the town's side...

Can we lynch DP? It's a very basic mafia reasoning, just ask Ms Lovett if you do not understand. (sigh).

The mafia's strategy is to keep the two cops of the town separated. It is called 'divide and conquer'. In the meantime, they play on the reluctance of cops to claim and waltz in front of the town, clearing each other and the third scum, until a townie gets it.
